get educated before you might explain folkagain, i don't mean to sound like an asshole but you don't seem to know any artists past bob dylan, simon & garfunkel and woody guthire.. and also folk isn't neccessarily rooted in protest, it has a lot of different aspects, and protest might be one of them but you can write a folk song about other things
