A completely different approach. No flashy graphics, no gimmicks. Not bad. The show intros I mostly like, but the indents are not that great. Also, I personally think that the news circle should be more larger... especially because I frequently glaze on the beginning of the newsreel in the morning and then run off to work, so I don't get to see the bigger picture.
In each video presentation, why not images from European cities like London Paris Madrid Lisbon; capitals of countries where their television work with Euronews.
This is a major improvement, however why is the weather all blue? Makes it look very cold and distant event if it is meant to be sunny - what is wrong with a bit of green?
In regards to what RiiDDiiM said ("Why show Time Square, New York as a caption before the commercials?") - I thought that was odd but maybe it is meant to be a comment on the commercial nature of the US? More clips of ordinary Europe would be good though, little less abstract. But I don't get why they've added "pure" after it
the look is refreshing, although i'd do something about the "pure" white logo. i really miss the meteo music (previous one was good, but the one before around 2004 was even better). i think the idents took a step backwards in this iteration of on-air changes, though :/ bring back some color!
The new look is fresher and newsier, clearly a break with the past. But the structural changes are still not there. EN remains dependent on European Commission funding... 30 million euro for five years. Without it EN would be nowhere. Obviously that funding means EU Commission President Jose Manuel Barroso deserves a role in this promo.
I watch the news updates on Euronews twice daily. I've been doing this for years, and everything is fine.
The changes are fine, for the most part. To be more speccific, what is the deal with the map colours (blue and white???) and the weather music (the latter I previously enjoyed listening to, but now put on mute)?
I'm not overly impressed. I was sold with 'big changes', and all I've seen is that.. they have a larger logo, which is irritating when viewing reports, and I fail to see how a giant white circle represents any of the values of Euronews.
The weathermap is now a different set of colours, which are again unrelated to anything and not particularly helpful.
Why show Time Square, New York as a caption before the commercials? Would have bared more reverence to show a European city. The old Euronews was dated (but good) the new one is still pretty loyal to the Euronews format, but nevertheless could have been better.
Which is the name of song/artist in the first ten seconds of this video?

Hey. Did you figure out that song yet? I've been searching for weeks and weeks for the name of that song. Please reply and/or email me if you did.
