Even from our minimal understanding of the way the reality works we can see that a god would not be necessary for creation. My switch to this view point came on slowly while reading some theoretical physics books ("Physics of the Impossible" by Michio Kaku and "Why does E=MC^2" By Brian Cox and Jeff Forshaw) and while reading in science journals on the Internet. Throughout this I had been (and still am) awed by the sheer vastness of the Universe, and in being so had looked up the different theories for creation. After about 2 years of looking around I decided that the explanation of the Big Bang made sense to me.
So, while I won't try to boast my education (because I'm in high school) I will say that this had changed my perspective on the universe.
Now on the Idea of finding a watch on another planet I agree with you that there is (or would be) a creator, but I also think that life is different from a watch in that with out our help the watch can do nothing, where as scientists have created a self replicating molecule by simulating the environment that they expect the Earth was like that many yeas ago.

In life's case the structures required to form the DNA strands are helped along by the forces of physics. Therefore, the Universe had a cause." Which means if the universe has a cause, a purpose then it must have a creator.

Just one point, I could find 500 people who claimed to have seen/met/been probed by aliens and that's only in the last 60 years. Most of the New Testament was actually written in the first century. The resurrection of Christ obviously propelled the Church forward, but it was the Holy Spirit who did most of the work after that. Many miracles were performed by the apostles and the people believed.

Creation is so complex because it has evolved over billions and billions of years in the universe and humans has evolved over 200,000 years.
You know I'd never actually interpreted God's question, "Who determined its measurements?" as "Who knows the earth's size?" but it is an interesting interpretation. I think, in context, God meant, "Who came up with the earth's size?"

@Zayin1993 We, as atheists, build paths away from the bible to increase our understanding of the universe. This however, leads to the conclusion that God is not real. Even from our minimal understanding of the way the reality works we can see that a god would not be necessary for creation. In short our logic prompts us to build our own path, and to explore further into the realms of SCIENCE.

My switch to this view point came on slowly while reading some theoretical physics books ("Physics of the Impossible" by Michio Kaku and "Why does E=MC^2" By Brian Cox and Jeff Forshaw) and while reading in science journals on the Internet. Throughout this I had been (and still am) awed by the sheer vastness of the Universe, and in being so had looked up the different theories for creation. After about 2 years of looking around I decided that the explanation of the Big Bang made sense to me.

Now on the Idea of finding a watch on another planet I agree with you that there is (or would be) a creator, but I also think that life is different from a watch in that with out our help the watch can do nothing, where as scientists have created a self replicating molecule by simulating the environment that they expect the Earth was like that many yeas ago.

Ill try to explain it using the Kalam cosmological argument first proposed by William Lane Craig; "Whatever begins to exist has a cause. The Universe began to exist. Therefore, the Universe had a cause." Which means if the universe has a cause, a purpose then it must have a creator.

Most of the New Testament was actually written in the first century. The resurrection of Christ obviously propelled the Church forward, but it was the Holy Spirit who did most of the work after that. Many miracles were performed by the apostles and the people believed.

Science can operate remote controlled rovers that drive around on Mars, but according to creationists, science is incapable of accurately dating fossils.
Creationists ignore evidence that can be tested and verified using multiple scientific methods, and choose to believe the supernatural. That makes as much sense as my hamster, when he's talking politics again.

Measurements were determind after the big bang theory.
Creation is so complex because it has evolved over billions and billions of years in the universe and humans has evolved over 200,000 years.

You know I'd never actually interpreted God's question, "Who determined its measurements?" as "Who knows the earth's size?" but it is an interesting interpretation. I think, in context, God meant, "Who came up with the earth's size?"
In this modern era, God has given man intelligence and now we know the earth's size. I'm not into evolution because it just doesn't line up with common sense. Explosions create chaos, not order.

God created beings inferior to Him, capable of failure in order to glorify Himself. If we were all perfect as God, we wouldn't be any different than God. The only way you can truly value God's love, compassion, faithfulness etc. is if you experience the opposite, such as hatred, unfaithfulness etc.
So i would argue that God allowed all this evil to happen in order to show us how great He is in comparison to the evil. God is holy and his fallen creation isn't.
