I don't believe in 9/11 theories myself, but there's another coincidence in the episode. At some point when the Simpsons are in New York, the camera pans to the left and you can see a plane on an advertisement similar to the ones used in the attacks. It's aimed directly at the towers.

@TetraLight The founding continent isn't really relevant. The point is the Illuminati was a group filled with philosophers who were against the Roman Catholic Church, not because they hated God. The reason been is the Church claimed that God was the reason certain things were, even though it was quite obvious that science could be the proven cause.

To be honest this video does a bad job of making it's point. I recommend people watch a clip of that scene in the Simpons as not only does Lisa hold the newspaper right up to camera with New York 911 and a $ sign on it but Bart also moves into the picture and waves a wad of cash right under the New York 911 bit while looking at the camera and smiling. I'm not saying i believe it proves anything but when you watch the clip it does make you think "shit that's pretty mad"! or something like that.

I don't believe in 9/11 theories myself, but there's another coincidence in the episode. At some point when the Simpsons are in New York, the camera pans to the left and you can see a plane on an advertisement similar to the ones used in the attacks. It's aimed directly at the towers.
