I woud not say the Spurs are old. Yeah, they have old players such as Finley, Horry, Vaghn, Stoudamire, and Barry but they are not an our main guys. Our core is still relatively young. First, it was 2.1 when the Spurs got the ball back, not when Fisher's missed shot went out of bounds. On top of that, there is no clear video that actually shows Fisher's shot hitting the rim.
Second, Fisher jumped on Barry, Barry did not force contact. It should have been an on the floor foul, which would have put the Lakers in the penalty and given Barry the chance to tie.
At the end of the day, it hardly matters because the Lakers played a better game.
Agan, it was NOT a foul, now had he went up for a shot and forced contact on an attempted shot, then yes, there would have been a foul. Barry decided to move around Fisher which is in violation of the shooter because you have to allow the defender to land in his respective position. Barry should have jumped and went into Fisher or attempted a shot. It is then known as generalized contact and was the correct decision. That is why Coach Poppovich did NOT argue the call.

OK..the Spurs are getting old, yes, but haven't they been getting old for years? And they still win. Maybe they didn't win the title this year, but seriously..making it to the Western Conference Finals, and being the only 3 seed in the Conference Finals is pretty damn good. I woud not say the Spurs are old. Yeah, they have old players such as Finley, Horry, Vaghn, Stoudamire, and Barry but they are not an our main guys. Our core is still relatively young. Yeah, average age is old but if we get rid of the players I mentioned before, which we probably will, we are just as young as everyone else.

Barry didn't "sell" the foul because he's not Dirk. Dirk does that all the time, and word had come out that day that people who flopped would be fined next year..he didn't want to be all over the news. Are you serious? I won't go off here because that's ridiculous. People said Boston would never be good again also. I wouldn't bet your house on something like that. Someone might take you up on it. Why would we be better after getting rid of our leading scorer and spark that only plays 30 min. a game and a guy who is always on the All Defensive team. Does that make sense? Please. Kobe took 29 shots and no free throws. Derek Fisher hit the rim. The refs missed a foul in the last seconds. The Spurs had a lot more calls in their favor. The Lakers just happened to get the biggest break of the all.

First, it was 2.1 when the Spurs got the ball back, not when Fisher's missed shot went out of bounds. On top of that, there is no clear video that actually shows Fisher's shot hitting the rim.
Second, Fisher jumped on Barry, Barry did not force contact. It should have been an on the floor foul, which would have put the Lakers in the penalty and given Barry the chance to tie.
At the end of the day, it hardly matters because the Lakers played a better game.

Agan, it was NOT a foul, now had he went up for a shot and forced contact on an attempted shot, then yes, there would have been a foul. Barry decided to move around Fisher which is in violation of the shooter because you have to allow the defender to land in his respective position. Barry should have jumped and went into Fisher or attempted a shot. It is then known as generalized contact and was the correct decision. That is why Coach Poppovich did NOT argue the call.
