@Linseman13 lol just for the hell of it, I guess. The Hartford Whalers all time leader in shutouts is sometimes mentioned in broadcasts featuring the Carolina Hurricanes on this game by color commentator Darryl Reaugh.

probably. I love this game, don't get me wrong, and I spent a 3 years looking for my copy in my old games just so i could feel the rush of playing one more season. I kinda want to go out on htis note though, no more meaningless but fun exhibitions, world tournaments, EA Blades games, just the enduring image of Primeau finally hoisting the ultimate hardware...seems fitting to me... or maybe im just crazy...
NHL 99 is and always will be the first true great hockey game of its kind.

The Cup celebration is so awesome! We just capped off this season with another Cup... I love this game but I think I'm going to retire with the image of Primeau carrying the Cup around the Joe Louis Arena Ice surface.
