If you say not to use utensils that have been put in your mouth to serve Krishna's food, then why use your hands? Hands have been in mouth too. In the video you say that hands are cleaned. Well, you can wash utensils before serving Krishna's food. Seems you contradict yourself.
that is absolutely, well i must say it, beautiful. but I would like to know how long you left krishna's (spelling?) plate there? because i would this that the food would be cold by the time you got back to it.

it doesnt belong 2 god, he's imaginery.but it u wanna go there he "made" vegitables 4 ppl to eat. and when u say plz can i take this, thank u, who the fuck r u asking? and then u just take it w/o getting an answer? thats rude. by ur philosophy we shouldnt eat at all. and umm.. it didnt look like Krishna ate anything.. cuz u kno, THE FOOD WAS STILL THERE WHEN U CAME BACK.. maybe he didnt want to eat it after a stranger touched it.. i kno i woulnt...
That's their culture and their religion. Who are you to judge on other people's beliefs. How about instead of being ignorant and closed minded, you accept that that's what they believe in and be respectful. :|
depends on if your humane or animalistic...God says you need to be merciful to remain in a human body next life...so if God has given you the chance to ponder on how cruel eating tortured and slaughtered animals is and you remain a flesh eater, its most probable you wont be in a human body next life =/
"Verily I say unto you, they who partake of benefits which are gotten by wronging one of God's creatures cannot be righteous nor can they touch Holy Things or Teach the Mysteries of the Kingdom, whose hands are stained with blood or whose mouths are defiled with flesh."
ps. This is Rasa and believe me whether the flesh addicted like to kid themselves that Moses, Jesus and Muhammed ate meat or not, the fact still remains, they never did and the true scriptures are all readily available now and the truth is coming out and there is no chance for mericiless, thoughtless souls to be in human bodies as we enter the Peace Age,
Be kind and compassionate and giving because God is Love. If you are lovely, you are Godly
WASSUP mesut12351? I cant even remember what I was replying about...
Flesh addicted "religious" people like to kid take the easy route...kid themselves into believing Saints ate flesh and God allows it simply becuz the majority of the world do it and its easy to say Majority Rules...but this is the DARK AGE...the path to hell is wide and crowded, the path to truth is small but MERCIFUL vegetarians are on it

thanks cat!..saved me some time. I agree that IF there is a God, he/she/it couldnt be defined by any one form..but i also wouldnt doubt the existence of the blue man. From what ive read it does sound like alot of renunciation..but from what ive experienced there is no realization without purification..and Hare Krishnas dont seem to be practicing the same kind of austerities as the Aghoris (cant spell) of India..to each his/her own eh? thanks again for your help.
+hanks for the inspiring video..ive wanted to learn how to make offerings to God for some time now without realizing it..I practice meditation and learnt most of it from Tibetan Buddhist sources..i was wondering if there are any big differences between that and the Hare Krishna tradition..Maybe you would be kind enough to make a video response..thanks again.
Hi, I know you weren't asking this question directly of me, but I thought I'd tell you what I know. Someone else will be able to add more, I'm sure. I'm sure this will take more than 1 post, so I'm numbering them for you.
First, Vaishnavism (aka Hare Krishna) is a totally different faith from Vajrayana (Tibetan) Buddhism. Both are off-shoots from Hinduism, so you may find it helpful to start there. Some of the basic concepts (like Brahma, Atman, Om) are the same in all 3.
The main differences are that while Hinduism has many many deities, Vaishnavas believe in only one deity -- That's Vishnu in the form of his avatar Krsna. Krsna is called the Supreme Personality of Godhead, meaning that, of all Vishnu's avatars, Krsna is the highest.
Vajrayana Buddhism, on the other hand, neither acknowledges or denies deities. There are figures for which their is no better English word than "deity" but they're not the same.
Deities in Vajra Buddhism are more like expansions of our own Buddha nature. For example, Avalokitesvara / Chenrezik is an expansion of our own perfectly compassionate nature. So by meditating on his perfect compassion, we begin to bring it about in our own lives.
Krsna is the possessor of all qualities & is an object of worship & devotion, rather than meditation.
Both Vaishnavism & Vajrayana Buddhism believe in "sangha" or "songa" meaning to associate w/ others who'll help you...
... but Vaishnavas focus more on associating with a particular individual, called the Guru. This is Sadhu Songa. Vajra Buddhists view it more as taking refuge in a community of practitioners.
The most important difference (and here's where I'm going to get more into my own OPINION) was best stated by the Buddha himself when he said "If you tune the string to tight, it'll snap... If you tune it too loose, it won't play". I personally feel that Vaishnavism calls for a lot of renunciation.
And it also calls for a lot of faith in many things that cannot truly be known. How do we know there exists a blue man who looks ethnically Indian, and that this is God? How do we even know there INDEED IS a God?
Buddha, on the other hand, said that if anything he taught was not realized by the practitioner through personal experience, it should be discarded. Buddhism is the "Middle Way". It doesn't attempt to make absolute proclamations about the exact nature of the universe, etc.
I'm not sure if they eat the exact same food that they offer? Or if they just offer a bit of it, and then the rest of the pot is good to eat, or what?
Me again, what? Have you left rude comments to me for no reason before or something?
WTF do you care what I comment on a video? So sorry to offend you Vee, next time I'll be sure to leave some mindless jabber that shows no thought at all.
BTW, I don't need to LEARN how to eat vegetarian, I already am one. Are YOU?
No wellice, food is always hot by the time its been offered. That's the advantage of cooking Indian, it stays hot for ages, you literally can't eat it for a good 10 minutes after its been cooked. Fortunately Krishna can.
I think, ultimately, what makes me realize that Vaishnavism is probably not for me is the talk about contamination... I've heard things like: Jivas are just dirty bags of blood, feces & urine... You have to bathe after going potty because ghosts can enter your body, sex is inherently shameful, etc. In the end, it was just too extreme to be the truth, as far as I could tell.
That's just my personal opinion. I still think its great to see 2 young guys worshiping something OTHER than their TVs!!
I'm Christian and it was interesting watching everything that y'all put into making the meal and the efforts you took to pray over it. I love seeing different points of view and ways of doing things. This was an excellent video, I look forward to trying some of those recipes in my own home.
I would have never guessed that there was so much dedication involved in making one meal. It makes sense. Do you do this with every meal including breakfast and lunch?
I was under the impression animals were not allowed in the space where food is offered, or in the ktichen where food is made.

no-one should be arguing,
everyone has different cultures+religions and beliefs we should all know that by now
i mean i for one dont think we will be reincarnated but we will live in heaven or hell,
but whatever you believe,no-one should judge you.
whether you eat meat or not thats your desicion and even if you dont agree,
you should respect the fact that thats what the person believes in.

Everything is God's, he is the creator. what else is there? the big bang? pfft right like we happened on "accident".
We are graced by Krishna, therefor the answer is in the question.
Krishna didn't eat it, physically, but absorbs the. . and this the important part. . the LOVE and DEVOTION put forth by the devotee.
Krishna is no stranger to His pure devotees, and pure devotees are no stranger to Krishna.
