Such a beautiful breed with lovely markings. I've only ever seen one Egyptian Mau in person which my friend owned. Unfortunately it had been rescued by her after being used only as a show cat and not really allowed to play so after the owner got bored of showing it, they got rid of it. Shame really as it lead to the cat being very nervous and not enjoying human contact. So beautiful to look at though. Your's looks so happy :)

My neighbour's moggie looked exactly like this. 2 years ago I started to be interested in cat breeds so when I saw my neighbour's pussy I just had to ask wether it' was Mau or silver Ocicat. She looked at me the way that I feel dumb to this day :).

The cat was athletically built, with very pronounced spots, no ticking and intensive silver colour. I write "was" because she escaped ang got ran over by a car :(
