  • Thanks for that.

  • Con Curtin: Off in the Morning [Reel]

This is another extract of "Fleadh'73" on Youtube. :)

  • Wow - My old Mentor at the Fleadh's,,, ' Leslie Bingham ' -- And many very Happy Memoires.... And my friend's Terry and Tara there too !

    '' Great Post ''

    jim,,,

  • Thanks. I saw Tara on Friday night but didn't get a chance to ask her.

  • It is likely the bodhran player was in tow with the Binghams so you are more than likely correct. I think there is a clip of him playing with northern musicians including Tara and Dermy on The Long Note or similar RTE programme.

1970 would be about right. Maybe Tara or Terry could confirm that if they happen by.

  • @Deeor It was in 1972

  • @Deeor

I think it is an extract of RTE's award-winning "Fleadh'73" broadcasted for the first time on October, 3 1973.

Thanks a lot for uploaded clip of the documentary I am looking for a long time. :)

  • @oleg1739 Glad you liked it. Thanks are really due to a guy called Ian Hull who kept the tape squirrelled away for many years. Unfortunately it didn't cover the whole programme.

  • I think the bodhran player is Tom Hartley from Belfast, who went on to become mayor of that city. I think the year was 1970

  • @coop109209

I would go with that. I didn't know he ever played the bodhran but it looks like him.

  • Sorry don't know the year. Musicians are Leslie Bingham and his children Tara (now Diamond) and Terry. Don't know who the bodhran player is.

  • what year was that? And what are the musicians names please?
