  • Makes me want to get my Irish on!! Wait....I'am not Irish and can't surf!!

  • i still have lots of fun goin short..sure u cut like 3 seconds of riding but looks like thoses dude would be lucky to catch 3 waves a day... :l

  • are you retarded? lookk epic!! i would bodyboard though hahahha

  • Now who's going to click on "Yothu Yindi tribal voice" after this

  • Comment removed

  • @CvJoey12 ohhh that one, ya i already have

  • @matt98787 Holy crap matt we're watching the same video LOL hahaha thats a coincidence

  • I know people that surf in the warmer climates HATE the cold water, especially the ozzies (the're particularly feeble when it comes to it) but it has it's merits. Ireland has great surf but never gets that congested on the water as it's not renowned as a location for a surf vacation. You can be out on a perfect day with only one or two other guys (or even on your own) with unspoiled scenery, but unfortunately you'll never do it in board shorts without shrinking your ballbag!

  • Just be aggressive and go for it. See how only two people paddled for that last wave?

  • check all these comments posted by non-surfers (probably non-anythingactive too).

To those people I have a message, your not there because you can't handle the risk..kindly shut the fuck up about rules and safety. Thats like staying away from the best skateparks because people might run into you.

To the rest of you who shred...lets go shred.

  • 0:04 what do you mean crowded?

  • thats waaay to crowded, imagine if someones surfboard got caught in the wave and hit someone, theres an injury just waiting to happen there

  • I love surfing, im planning to move to hawaii when im older and after i graduated highschool. I plan on going there for college :)))

  • I haven't ever surfed pipe because i am a beginner. but at san onofre, i was scared they would be aggressive, but they were actually understanding and a guy said 'he would never run over a young girl' and another lady said thank you because my friend didn't go for the wave while she was. Is pipe just like, NO it's mine? What happens if you mess with someone, but on accident?

  • surfing sucks because of surfers. i surf alone or i do other/better sports

  • Surf Leftovers.I got all the waves I wanted, course that was 20 years ago.

  • lol that alot of yahoos

  • That's why norfolk is the way forward... oh wait, it's shit and has no surf.

  • nobody goes there any more. it's too crowded.

  • This does not look like the Sport of KIngs. It's more like a rat race.

  • @bahamasroy 20 foot walls aint for rats

  • Hell, at least it's better than Soylent-Green on tuesdays...; or maybe not.

  • thats why i love western australia.. so many surf spots, and the douchbags generally keep to the local shitty breaks cause they cant be assed travelling more than 10 minutes

  • 0:08 Fuck yeah no ones out...nek minute

  • Screw that! I don't miss surfing in the states at all. Crowded waves , jerkoff locals even at my [ex local] shore breaks of which i was not only a local but one of the jerkoffs, but was worse was going other breaks only to be met by doucebags in the line up. Surfing is suppose to be fun n to hang with laidback peeps not a bunch of roid ragging pricks. Living now in the ''old country'' has change my attitude...endless uncrowded beaches w fantastic waves and surfers with no attitude,,, heaven.

  • such wonderful waves...

  • @kenora619 yea bro i was at swamis yesterday and it was 7 feet occ. 8. There were like 100+ surfers yesterday. I was an adventure trying to catch a wave with all the others like in your way. But all together there was some sweet barrels so it made it worth it haha

  • Yeah, it's not the waves, it's inbred fred your surfing next to... So many are just so lost mentally its depressing.

  • I'm so glad I got to surf Pipe in the 70s, 10+ and only 5 guys i the water.

  • waimea is so much more crowded

  • @kenora619 bty people who say that they have huge dicks usually dont

  • i would have woop that dudes ass at the end if he got close to hittin me.. 1 hitter quiter for that dude

  • @creativeman22 wtf are you talking about lool

  • @creativeman22 would you know? the locals are very skilled fighters and you better be very skilled yourself or you wont have a chance and if he is anyone who has freinds you better be ready to fight all the guys on the beach too especially if you not local cause to them you aint shit! i understand your anger but unless you are ready to fight for your life you aint got a chance. easy to talk shit from behind a computer but in real life you are fucked trust me!

  • @dakine400 Trust me! Your who appears as the E thug in this instance.

  • can someone please pause and count how many people are there?

  • @0s4m4 57.5

  • im sure that guy at the end probably hit some peeps in the head with his surfboard fin lol

  • Damn, everybody and their mother is surfin there.

  • there is only that spot?

  • Too many guys around the keg..

  • I wish i knew how to surf...!:(

  • get a rifle and start plucking them out one by one. local Hawaiian surfers are the most disrespectful people i have ever met in my life. if some one comes to our spot we share it. surfing isn't about hostility. if any Hawaiian ever comes to my state and trys to surf my wave ill treat him like they treat us.

  • The problem is not so much much the crowds and the localism. I prefer Kauai that is also crowded and full of locals, but somehow you get used to it. The problem at Pipe, is that everybody wants to get famous and get their photograph taken. Another weird shit about Pipe is that everybody claims local status, but hardly anyone speaks Hawaiian.

  • @stanleyeureka very few people speak hawaiian anymore stupid comment!

  • Surf Lake Erie. No Soviet style lineups.

  • @trenchdigger17 Soviet style lineups!!! That's great.

  • I skate ramps. The emergence of the street skate scene was a wonderful time for me. Everyone was busy skating boxes, stairs, rails.... Lately, the pools, bowls, and ramps are getting a lot more busy. It sucks.

  • Should been here 40 yrs ago KOOKS!

  • @zombyzapper Amen brother. Surfing died when etiquette took a back seat.

  • looks like fun.

  • dang..and the guy surfed over people.. thats dangerous. imagine getting cut open by a fin?

  • Went to the N.S 12 years ago have surfed for 20 years but I stayed out of the water because of the vibe even then. I felt bad for the locals dealing with the bad parking let alone the crowed waves.

  • crowded

  • Crowds suck hairy beanbags.

  • did he just hit someone at 0:33!?!?!?! LOL

  • suddenly Fistral in peak summer don't seem so bad anymore!

  • @kenora619 Yeah, the crowd at Swamis is insane...I had to get away from that place after years living in San Diego, but keep in mind the consequences can be much more severe at Pipe than Swamis, it's a heavier wave and a much different beast, and that crowd makes you have to try and take off deeper than you might otherwise want to do. You can get one ride to glory at Pipe, but nothing all that extraordinary about even the most epic wave at Swamis.

  • I counted 50 people. (Give or take a few, but still)

  • also....if your smart and watch the buoys, pay attention to conditions , you can get backdoor and pipe with ALOT less crowd...may not be the EPIC pipe your looking for but youll be able to get waves

  • If your going or are pro....then pipe is for you. Its a training ground and a place to hone your skills. otherwise, theres just no reason to go deal with the localism and crowds. i realize its one of the best barreling waves on the planet...but thats about it. theres literally MILES of surf up and down that coast and then swell 'wrap' to both sides....plenty of other waves...i surf because its fun, like masturbation i want more then one shot/wave.

  • lol its funny cuz no one goes anyway

  • That's disgusting, way too many people that wouldn't even be fun... But I cant believe nobody dropped in on that guy!

  • lol @ 0:34 ran over surfer

  • It's not the waves of Hawaii that keep me away , it's the people. Too many, too competitive.........no fun

  • @gary32080 After eight years living on the North Shore I just moved away. I wasn't easy to do since that stretch of shoreline is a surfer's dream come true, but the people made it easier. It's not just the crowd, but the nature of the crowd. The "aloha" spirit has deteriorated and surf etiquette has fallen prey to a lot of young kids who have not learned it. Bottom line, a lot people on the North Shore are not friendly and lack good spotsmanship.

  • @ehukai26 Serious bra...I was raised in Maui and that whole Wolfpak bull shit kinda spread to Maui like the Maui crew is some kind of satellite wolfpak. Their is no aloha spirit, its just a fuckin' surfin' rat race. They dont fuck with the old timers though.

  • @AlohaBay ha ha the red shorts crew

  • @ehukai26 I think even the locals on waikiki beach are a bunch of the douches- and the ones I encountered were about mid 30's to 40's! All I did was get on the same wave as some other guy ( which EVERYONE else was doing) however I was quite inexperienced and i fell off my board after about 5 seconds. My board barely touched the other dude, he falls off and gets reallllly pissed off at me. To top that off some other surfer paddled over to give a little lecture! You'll never get that in Sydney...

  • @ehukai26 living in SoCal isnt much diffrent, way too many kooks. im only 19 i get along better with the surfers that are older than my parents, they enjoy surfing for what it is, not to get sponsored and become famous. there are pros on the ASP who surf my home break and they are complete dicks. always stealin waves, droppin in on you, they think because they are famous they can take more waves. i despise them. they lost sight of what surfing is...for the heart. not the check

  • @gary32080 Ive been living here for 6 months... leaving in a week... going back to Peru... there theres waves all year long and theres no stupid DA HUI hawaiian bullshit... aloha my ass fags...

yesterday I surfed sunset and fast eddies son dropped in on everyone...and he had a hawaiian guy shouting at everyone that tried to catch waves... thats why I am leaving, cant keep up with that... Peru has more waves and nice people...

  • the last guy ran over 3 people!

  • @rycoetz1 It's not. An epic rush if you get a good one, but not fun. I have had the rare late season session out there where the surf came up earlier than expected and I got on it before it got crowded, but otherwise I just leave it alone.

  • i dont ever understand why they all group together, i always paddle away out of the groups and catch waves

  • @ESNCsurfers thats the thing there the wave is in that tiny spot.....

  • @ESNCsurfers There is a very small take off zone for the true Pipe and Backdoor waves so everyone is clumped together hoping for position on one of those epic waves. Problem is the crowd often forces people to take off too deep or out of position and some waves go through with out being ridden the way they should be ridden.

  • @ESNCsurfers but not THE WAVES.....

  • I'm not a surfer, but I'm interested in the surfing etiquette, like wants the biggest faux pas? I can't exactly see how there can be rules when it looks like flotsam and jetsam out there!

  • @kathamaleen2109 When everyone in the water is an expert and understands the way each wave will break across the reef it just becomes a battle for position on the wave. The biggest faux pas is to drop in on someone who already has priority on the wave by being closest to where the wave begins (first starts to break). At Pipe people die every few years so it is very important to only surf here if you know what you are doing and to then follow the rules of surf etiquette.

  • @ehukai26 1. First on the wave 2. Closest to the peak 3. Someone paddling out on 'your' line and you hit them.. your fault.

  • C koia c vagues mdr'?

  • It looks like a looooong wait for a set wave!!!

  • does everyone get a wave??? how long do you have to wait?

  • @BigUpToNJ It's pretty competitive out there and most waves go to guys who have already made a name for themselves surfing the spot. If you work hard for it, you can get a wave out here even if you aren't local. It is very important to be respectful and follow the rules of surf etiquette.

  • I was just watching the 2 dudes duck dive that huge ass whitewash.

  • looks like wood debris from a ship wreck.

  • @BillConover Yeah, no kidding.

  • @BillConover or niggers floating down river?

  • You wont need a wetsuit..

  • @ 0:32 The squished sound makes it seem like the surfer ran the dude in the water over.

  • That is insane when you consider that Pipe can kill in a second.

  • lol guy at the end tried to run a dude over 0.o

  • fake and gay

  • @patricklconway

    RAAYWILLIAMJOHNSON FTL.

  • @patricklconway Trolling much

  • I'd want a helmet!

  • mas jente que la chucha eh

  • Hey Ehukai26, this is the exact reason I surfed out front of Ehukai Beach Park when I was in Hawaii and not Pipe. I was surfing with 2 other guys whereas Pipe had about 30.

  • man, what a hell......it seems to garbage floating on the water

  • Looks like a lot of push from the north, that swell..?!?

  • Rhode Island?????

  • @penguinshamrock this is hawaii did you pass the 1st grade ?

  • @TheLongboarder100 Well Sorry It looks like Rhode Island. It doesn't mean I am stupid.

  • @TheLongboarder100 No duh I passed the first grade I passed the first grade How do you think I got to High school!!!

  • Pipeline is so crowded with people who shouldn't be there. 90% of the dudes out there never even try for a wave. Good thing too, otherwise they'd eat the reef facefirst.

  • i wana hit one of them ... with my board, when there in the way

  • What a waste of time, why would u even bother paddling out? My biggest concern would be getting hit by a rider or hitting someone as i dropped in an dthat looks very likely.

  • What a waste of time, why would u even bother paddling out? My biggest concern would be getting hit by a rider or hitting someone as i dropped in an dthat looks very likely.

  • man there has to be 100 douche bags out there! what a nighmare!!

  • Don't look like much fun to me. But don't give up hope brah. Get a good sailboat (Crealock '38), learn to sail around Hawaii and then cruise to the islands of Fiji where you will find many "Cloudbreaks" and "Restaraunts" that have never been surfed. I have been told by a local that there are so many islands that some have never been set foot upon by man yet they are plentiful with food, water etc. and you can live off the trees, fish etc. like a wildman. Try that.

  • @clarkewi Great story, but the Fiji islands have been mapped about 200 years ago by "Darwin" on the Beagle Never been set upon by man? While they mightnt be in habited by Steve from Cali, the Fijians have island hopping and lived off the land for ages

  • its the same any where theres a big crowed. 200 guys in the water and only 30 of them can actualy surf. everyone else just goes yeah i surfed pipe today it was good. if you rip crowds are not to much of a problem.

  • yuck, too much haole in these comments.

  • Great advertisement for the prolonged and religious use of condoms.

  • theres other spots that are just as good with nobody out. I never understood why pipe got so much attention, its a good thing I have my secret spot still on the low down with perfect A frame drainers. CHEEEEE HUUUU i'll never tell

  • What was that, shipwreck survivors?

Thing about Pipe is that instead of a nice smooth "sssshhhhhhhhh..." as you slice down the wave face you get this "sshh bump ba dump bump". It feels somewhat more like a ride down a Jeep trail than a ride on a wave. Ya hate to look back and see all the face-down floaters that weren't there before...

  • @Chompchompyerded

    Mad my day.

  • hate kooks who dont respect your beach when i come to yours im not going to drop in on you or anything i'm going to show respect so when come to mine dont do it to me

  • I was born and raised in HI. The island of KAUAI to be spacific. I never stomped the shit out of kook that did'nt deserved it. So bring your GUNS!!! KOOK!! Take off or get out of the way..

  • Yea, crowds like that really make me wanna go out there, Ive seen fist fights over waves when there is 20 people in the water...Surfing is wayyyyyyyy to commercialized now, I gave it up because I got tired of getting dropped in on by ASSHOLES who had no clue....

  • @Childrenofthecornsno thats sad

  • hahaha looks fun

only 1000 people out their u gotta fight for waves with

  • the guy at 0:17 gets eaten bro

  • yo ehukai26, i bet you are a sick surfer man

  • seriously get a fuking life if all u wana do is surf all day and try bully other surfers. yer everyone makes mistakes but dont try be a fukn tough guy by using ur size to be a faggot in the water. Fuking cunts probably end up living at home all ur lives smoking pot and sucking cock.

  • clusterfuck.

  • looks like el porto in so cal lol (im not talking about the waves so dont need ppl to hate on porto)

  • Wow!

The waves in cali aren't as good, but at least the cold water keeps all those floating sightseers away.

  • Damn !

  • I'm sure half of those guys never even got a wave.

  • That's not crowded, your being too hard on yourself. There's rarely any waves around here. When its good shape it's even more crowded than this video. Hawaii has 100 times more waves than here 100 times better shape too and there you are complaining? Are you joking? We just got a big 10 foot, 5 day swell and there was one day you could have gone out without being killed in certain unguessed big safe looking places. They take a pic and say there's no one out. There was 110 people out at Trestles

  • Ha...look at all that driftwood..

  • HA HA that's funny.... driftwood :) Sure is crowded out there isn't it.

  • Nightfurf59 has a point. If they are wannabees they should start out small and work they're way up though instead of getting in the way of the people who can and actually deserve to surf it. Otherwise the might not beable to get out of the burning house that is the pipline barrel and take someone else down with them. Igrnorance is fatal.

  • With wannabees in search of glory crowding the waves, its no wonder more people aren't killed at this spot. People from the mainland may complain about the rigidly enforced pecking order at places like pipe, but really, its the only thing keeping the fatalities low...because there is a semblance of order.

  • @Nightsurf59 real smart. you think you're saving lives by being a tough guy and saying this??

how about i bring my machete, and cut ur fucking head off when i see you and you tell me to leave cause i'm not local. being a localized prick doesn't keep any fatalies low, you just want to justify being a prick and have more waves to yourself.

i can't wait to cut me some stinky hawaiians!! you don't own the water!! fuck off faggot!!

  • @IntellectualConcepts I didn't say I was local. You however-via your comments- have revealed yourself to be a member of the single helix club. Stay out of the water and leave surfing to those worthy of the waves.

  • @Nightsurf59 What is the pecking order. Just curious. Is it the regular rules of waveriding i.e. closet to the break has right of way etc. or is it something else?

  • Crowded as hell

  • If some local wants to bash u, u prolly deserve the bashin. If no can handle, go somewhere u can like waiks. Stay the fuck away from the pipe posse

  • Comment removed

  • ru even in the posse

  • Fuck off! If some local wants to bash u 4 gettin in his way then thats fuked!! grow the fuk up. im bringing a fuking gun to hawaii next time i surf it, c how they like that!

  • on ya man, make em surf the lead!

  • @BoogaOn93 your retarded

  • I quit surfing altogether precisely because of the crowds.

  • WELL UR JUST a dickhead

  • No need to name call.

  • Comment removed

  • wouldnt they be sucked into sea?

  • no how?

  • only the surfers who are well known get a wave in these conditions

  • Yeps the line up at pipes is crazy.

  • wow i thought snapper rocks was bad, when i was there i got ran over and had to have stitches in my head. are most the spots on the north shore this crowded?

  • usually pipeline is the most crowded...but there are other spots that hold alot of people too.

  • @jiglojay lol yeah snapper rocks is fucking bad haha i live on the gc and i dont even surf it anymore cos its so crowded, pipe is worse though cos if u just get in their road the locals will bash u so ive heard

  • I remember when i went and it was flat. The next week i went to the wedge (near where i live) and it was 2x as big in the video. So there for, id love to be out there on that day! looks like barrels. Wedge has some but mostly roll overs. ;(

  • Pay for some instruction- even if you don't need it- it's instant gas and big dog status in the line up

  • LOL, Locals only

  • still not as bad as the huntington peir on a good day...

  • you should see the crowd at pipe when pipe is on a good day. twice as much people than the video shows.

  • I been going to this spot almost every year since 1984 and it can get too overcrowded.Instead of paying 20 bucks for a surfing lesson at Waikiki from some hotel , go to the north shore and pay a local a few hundred dollars for some one on one instruction. Thats what i did and you get to surf some secret spots and meet some locals . Its a win win situation.

  • you've been surfing since 1984 and you pay for lessons??

  • Maybe from Pancho and Progressive Surfing?...He is teaching advanced lessons to people who are good surfers and want to get even better.

  • That is just stupid.

  • @ehukai26 Whats wrong with getting as good as you possibly can get? Good on you ehukai! and Imgonnpissuoff, Your youtube name is very suggestive of your personality. Ehukai, Im coming from the UK to the north shore in March, are you about and how do you arrange lessons with Pancho?

  • its jus crowded cuz over there is betta den any odda place pipelines is one of the best beaches on the world

  • Look at all those speed bumps

  • It'd be nice to slap on some razor blade thrusters and go around scalping dudes!!

  • Ridiculous...find somewhere else to go surfing and have some fun...that's crazy like Rush Hour in a big city subway

  • i bet the hawians was so peed off they proberly beaten most of them up

  • ahahaha i would have gone to another area lmao sheep in water

  • lol. that is a lot of humans in one area.

  • ridiculous.. original as .. original bike company

  • Now I know why surten spots are for non rookies or nubies, or waht ever. I can respect that.
