@mako7828 glocks are 450$ pistols thats it. They are not bad but they are far from the best. say what you will they are far from a sti, or a custom 1911
@tvproducing No, I deleted your post because you're an ignorant individual. You insist that the video is fake because you have a very small brain and cant understand that people, other than yourself, have talent.
And Glocks are still mediocre pistols. They aren't great. They are cheap and that is why they became popular with police departmet. You can dress it up anyway you want.
@mako7828 People like you never fail to amaze me. you have it all figured out.
It wasn't a rifle. They were three different pistols. Rifle rounds travel 2/3 faster than pistol rounds. You know NOTHING.
And Glocks ARE mediocre pistols. They are used by cops because they are cheap and it's easy and cheap to find replacement parts. The special forces don't use them. Why? Because they aren't the best pistols.
Well it has been a while, but I was using factory loads.
If I remember correctly I think the round dropped around 8 inches or something. I was aiming above the target of course. It took about 1/3 of a second for the bullet to travel 100 yards.
@tvproducing if i were you i would have had a rifle set up next to the camera just out of veiw so i could hit it first shot with every gun just to blow pples minds hahah
i'm pretty amazed that you could hit something that small at 100 yards with a snub nose. i also saw on myth busters i think it was that the only thing that would open a masterlock was a 10 or 12 gauge with OO buckshot. that lock must have been from a dollar store
i thought that wa great im not from america i got my gun lisence the other day and didnt know shit about the range of most pistols this gave me a better idea
Taurus has improved a lot. My first handgun was a Taurus .22 revolver and it was just shit. Empty cases would get stuck under the extractor.
But their new guns are a lot of quality bang for the buck. I never rocommend Glocks. They are absolute trash with the exception of their mags. I like the quantity indications.
Good shooting. The second most under rated cartridge, the 38 special. Only behind the .22. It is one of the best defensive rounds ever. I carry a GP100 with 38+p for urban duty. I load it with .357 for the back country.
Right on. I have two GP-100's in stainless with the 4" barrel. They say Ruger over designed them. I agree they will eat hot loads all day without cracking. My only complaint is the trigger. Ruger just cannot work out a good trigger it seams.
I also have a Taurus 38 snub nose. I have made several 50 and 75 yard shots on a 10" steel plate. Remember, good stance, good grip, front sight, and good trigger squeeze. What kind of load were you shooting in the 38?
thers finally a video on youtube that has good long distance shots with a handgun!!!! the people who shoot at human sized targets from 40 fucken feet away are retards!! THIS VIDEO SHOWS WHAT HANDGUN SHOOTING IS ALL ABOUT
very impressive, i have seen snubs shoot at 100 yards before and it always is a joy to watch an accomplished shooter hit targets at distance...have you won many idpa or ipsc shoots?
All I saw was a ballon blowing up. I didn't see you shoot a snub at a 100 yards. If you really did do what is claimed on the video, that is some awesome shot's or darn lucky.
Dont let all the stupid comments get you down about good shooting. I consistantly shoot paper plates from 100 yards with my glock 19 and dont have to aim high either just hold the sights right on. What most people dont realize is bullet trajectory is an upward effect shooting at 50 feet the bullet is still in a flat shooting upward climb,at 50 yards is shooting high and at 100 yards is coming back down to the same elivation as when it left the barrel. Just practice a grip and trigger squeeze.: )
@tvproducing Hey bud I got a Taurus 38 special ultra light 2 inch snub that looks the same as yours when I first shot it I was amazed and the accuracy from 10 to 45 yards especially with my own reloads. I wanted to give some long rage shots a try, I know im capable,I just want to know about how far does it drop at 100 yards? I also want to know if you are using +ps in your snubby in this video. I love my .38 snub I find the accuracy superior compare to my autos and no chance of jams
impressive but agreable with others too.... maybe in you next vid show both the target and you actually firing the firearm to prove that it was you and not a rifle behind the camera. and maybe even shooting paper target at 50ish yards to show your accuracy
You don't know what you're talking about. If I had a shotgun microphone and I was capturing sound in a dampened area then yes it would sound different. But I was using a crappy mini-dv camcorder. If you want to say people can't do things outside of your skill then fine.
That is impressive. At firearms qaulifications I was messing around at 50yrds and making some good headshots. But I haven't tried 100 yrds. I think I'll give it a shot with my Sig P220 .45acp and Sig P226 .40 S&W
Wow nice shooting, Just goes to show how revolvers rule. the short .45 did not surprise me however. match 1911's would have issues at that range. The trick to shooting at long range with a revolver or a pistol is to simply learn the gun and shoot alot. No book or DVD (cept something by keith or McGivern) is going to give you the magic wisdom to shoot a ballon at 100 or a gong at 200. Just learn the gun and shoot a lot. Good shooting once again :)
Sweet!!! dont listen to those idiots who would miss the ground if they shot at it. They dont have a clue. Great vid!! Thats pretty awesome with that snubby!!!
I don't give a damn if you believe it or not. No one ever "believes" anything and me being in the picture frame wouldn't change anything. People would still say it's fake.
I can tell you it's not fake and I don't care if you want to believe it or not because it's truth and it's your choice to ignore it.
Well rifles sound much different than pistols when discharged.
Also, the velocities are greatly different. If you knew anything about ballistics you could see there is a lag between the discharge and the time that the bullet travels 100 yards from the 38special. it's 1/3rd of a second. That's three times slower than a high-powered rifle.
For you skeptics out there, I can do the same thing no problem. I have hit baloon sized targets are 150 yds. no problem. I do shoot a Para 14.45, with a national match bull barrel and forward port. It's a sweet setup. All it takes is practice and knowing your weapon.
Cool Dude!!Where were you in the 1997 North Hollywood shootout when the cops needed a head shot?Me I was in Texas hitin 300 meter targets with my Sig P-229 hand-rilfe in 357sig 5in Bar-sto "125 gr DT@1670fps"
Fuck California. They deserve all of thew crime that they have created through their ignorance. They ban citizens from weapons and severely restrict Constitutional Rights and treat cops as first class citizens that are the only people(government) that can be trusted.
If they are going to restrict their citizens then I think the cops should abide by the same ridiculous laws.
Wow! Did you do anything special to the PT145 before firing? Mine doesn't seem that accurate, but that could just be me. I am a great shot, but I am not miracle worker.
No, I didn't do anything to the pistol to modify it. It's even a used pistol. I wasn't the original owner. It was in good condition though, so I bought it.
It's just all about shooting stance, breath control and trigger control.
It is fairly easy to score good hits at 100 yards, using stock handguns. I dont wont to diminish the skills (which he obviously has) of this particular shooter but today, handguns are acuurate than ever. At 30 yards with the PT145 I can make smiley faces on a b-27 silhouette target. So, in a moderate range it's accurate. I highly doubt that you will be trying to defend yourself with a concealment gun having a 2'' barrel at 100 yards.
I don't know of ANY pistol that will hold up to 150,000 rounds. They usually fail a little bit before or right around 20,000 rounds due to frame stress.
i have a ruger blackhawk 357mag with 6.5"barrel was out sighting in our rifles at a 100yrds did same with mine shootin 38 special was very impressed of course wouldnt be as afective at that range but dam sur make you wish you were dead if it didnt kill you it can be done even with that snub nose just need to know how to shoot
Excellent video. Man, I thought I was good with my .38 snubby but this guy is unbelievable. I've never tried a 100 yard shot with it. I'm looking forward to it now. Thanks for trying a few rounds with the .45 as well. I was betting that you'd miss. I believe that gun is good for nothing more than up close and personal. Nice job and great video.
Well with a good 1911 style .45ACP or a gun like the Taurus 24/7 OSS (military version with a match grade barrel) it would be easy to hit a target from 100 yards. It's just that the combination of ammo and the short barrel of my concealed carry .45 weren't meshing together and made it hard to hit the target.
A .45ACP will definitely make the distance. You just need a different gun.
na lol its good work i got a kimber stainles ii .38 1911 and it can become a good bunny gun out 2 100m. my mates got a 92Fs 9mm and its hopeless past 50m lol
Nah, I assure you it was just those pistols. I can fire them further than that though. I just short a short video before leaving so I could make it to work.
The 38 does take 1/3 of a second to get there though. Unfortunately in this compressed video you can't see the bullet flying in to hit target. But in the original video you can.

You can easily hit targets from that distance with a .45ACP.
You just need a pistol with a better barrel and rounds with consistant powder loads.
