This is so True. I went to a Catholic School and I learned nothing but how to pray the Hail Mary. I didn't even know what a Sacrament was until I was 40 and research it MYSELF! Many people leave the Church because they are hungry for GOD but receive no answers. I converted to Judaism and lost 20 years of my life because I received no instruction from the Church. Everything I know about Catholicism I had to learn for MYSELF. Disgraceful!
This is so true. ALL the cathechism I leaned came from my parents. My parish CCD was such a joke I started going to the Baptist church because they bused us to their church. By grace, I was able to discern the inaccuracy of protestantism. I was confirmed in my senior year. Now I teach CCD and I hope I reach at least one child each year.
Amen to everything stated in this video. When is the last time, if ever, parishioners have seen a Roman Catholic priest "defend the chalice" by refusing to give the Eucharist to a person in the communion line, who is not supposed to receive it? Yet we have all seen people we know who should not be receiving the precious Body and Blood (non-Catholics, people in a state of unrepentant sin) receiving it just the same.
in my school i heard about cardinal virtues teoligical vitues; , but theese are things that u may ear as preparation for first comunion , but in my school i heard almoust nothing about the bible o Christ , is just a very theorical speech about the faith or Christ, this is sad, i think....after that you may became atheist, protestant , or whatever...(look my profile 2 see where my school was....)by the way I'm quite sad when i think about the formation om my chatolic school...
A lot of modernization has caused good things, like equal rights for women and minorities, but some values have been compromised because of this change, and it is important to be able to distinguish good changes to tradition from principles that need to continue.
I went to a Catholic gradeschool, and only in 8th grade did we learn about apologetics. Otherwise the video is absolutely right. From 1st -7th grade I could have gone to a Baptist school and it would not have made a difference.
I also became an atheist for a few years (before we finally covered apologetics).
I refuse to go the the local Catholic highschool. I have learned more outside of the Catholic schools than inside. This is outrageous, and must change.
Yes this is SO true! I had committed a mortal sin in my sophomore year of high school. I won't go on any further in discussing what it was, but I was struck by a constant calling in my conscience telling me to turn from my sin. I panicked and realized what I had done, so I went to my counselor at the CATHOLIC school i was attending, and was told that what I had done was completely acceptable. I was told that premarital sex was ok too. I was told that gays should be together in relationships etc
i went to ccd and we really just learned that God loves you and everybody. I diddent know about transubstanceation untill i was 13.......from the simpsions. i learned once about the immaculate conception the teacher was talking about how we all commit sins(he never mentiond what sins were) and he said "except for Mary she never sined" ccd was a wast of money
We are all responsible for our own sins. We are not going to blame anybody before the throne of God. I believe we are in the times of the "Great Apostasy". I come from an Irish Catholic family of 11 children. We are all adults now. 6 are practicing Catholics. I try to pray for our lost society. People wonder why tthings are so tough now..its because there is no sense of the sacred. Everybody has forgot God and think they can do anything they want without a "correction" every once in a while?
yeah seriously! i went to catholic school and learned NOTHING i learned about a GOD and if i was good i would go to heaven. nothing about the Redeemer, nothing about the Holy Spirit and Nothing about the Faith. I didnt start learning about the church until an athiest accused me as a catholic believing all of this stuff i didnt even believe in because i never even heard about it!
Same here. I went to the same exact school my mother went to when she was a girl. I learned zero Catholic theology in 12 years of parochial school. He talks about Buddhists and my sister even stayed in the car on Easter Sunday to read about the Buddha.
It is not that hard to see or understand, in light of Matt 13 (parable of the tares and wheat) that Jesus Christ taught the devil "will" (not might but will) send his angels among the "wheat". Satanic Invasions in the churches is real and was predicted beforehand. Realize that his (Jesus)words are truth and life.
Many Catholics are taking the Catholic Faith in their own hands and learning about it, to defend, and to spread the Word of God and the Catholic Faith.
Ironically, it took the slanders and vicious attacks by evangelical protestants to wake up many Catholics to immersed themselves in their Faith and learn Catholic Apologetics.
We converted to the RC Church about 15 years ago, enrolled our kids (3 of 7 at the time) into our parish school only to pull them out the following year do to the introduction of blatant secular sex education forced on all down to kindergarten! We've been in a local non-denomination (mostly baptist) school since. The kids have a great environment plus they learn a lot about Christianity. Their faith is sharpened due to Catholic/Protestant debates that naturally come up.
I'm sure what the video is saying about the lack of education is true in some parishes, however, in our parish school the students receive an excellent catholic education. I sent my children and not only did they receive religious education at school but also at home. Afterall, faith starts at home before they are old enough to go to school. It is our responsibility as parents to raise and teach our children in the catholic faith. God Bless to All, Sal
The preschoolers understand differently than older children so the faith needs to be taught at all levels and when we finish school we don't finish learning our faith!
religion should be taught by parents, schools and the church not just one of these!
unfortunately this has all been foretold by Pope Saint Pius X nearly 100 yrs ago. His encyclical Pascendi and his prophetic oaths against modernism should be read by ALL Catholics. im glad that you're calling people out on this, the time to wake up is long overdo. Great video!
Maybe Mr. Voris can do a program on how Modernism has infected many in the Church, and how many wish to destroy tradition. He hits the nail right on the head with regard to "Catholic" schools. I learned most of the Faith on my own, not in my "Catholic" schools.
Amen, I am 43 and only in the past three years of my life have I learned of these important elements of our faith...Thank you God for our One True Faith and for giving us Mr. Voris, for bringing Your truth to us!!!
Amen to all said in this video, We need to hear the Pope and Bishops to speak the truth to the people, and to repromand the clergy teaching badly, and We need it now, we need them to Teach not be Politicians, and embassadors , get firm about the faith if not you may cause souls to perish. PLEASE.
"You are my hammer, my weapon for war; With you I shatter nations, with you I destroy kingdoms." Jeremiah 51:20, You meaning you an I the Holy Catholic Church must stand up and be the educators and the hammer of Our Lady (Mary) and the Eucharist (Jesus) that will destroy the heresies and lies that face us.

I find that catholic politicians and talking heads on the news programs are great traitors indeed.
Please pray for:
1. Chris Matthews
2. Nancy Pelosi
3. The Kennedy family

God protected the Catholic Church from the pagan Roman Empire, and Christianized it.
He protected the Church from internal schism.
He saved it from the Muslims.
He guarded it against godless Communism.
The Lord won't abandon his Church or his people.
