Hey, I have a problem. I managed to project the image on geometry, but when I move or go through the geometry (with camera), the projected image is still. It doesn't move along with the geometry. It is just being projected on whatever I put in front of it. Help anyone?
@tkivoband What you can do is create a new camera and animate it instead, leaving the projection camera untouched. This will keep the projections on the objects static while allowing you to animate the new camera moving around without affecting the projection.
@SWEman058 Thanks. I've already figured it out...it was a dumb moment for me. I don't know what part of the word 'PROJECTION' I didn't understand... :) and then I gave myself an auto-facepalm. Cheers.
Can you use a second camera view instead of a texture? Could you project the environment behind an object onto the front of the object to make it if invisible, in a form of optic camouflage?
@lighterinthestorm Its because of the image information that is behind the boxing bags. You will be changing the perspective when you've completed the camera projection. By changing the perspective, parts of the area that is behind the bags in the original image will become visible. Since the image information of the wall behind the bags is not in the original image (obviously), you need to fake it. You can do this by removing the bags, e.g. painting the wall texture on top of them.
Great tutorial man , please could you post the link to the original pic used as i cant find a similar one that is suitable , many thanks keep up the good work.

isn't camera map per pixel better? so you wouldn't have to subdivide the scene?

pretty cool but since the picture scene is already prelit, how did you render it? did you add lights, did you make the walls selfilluminating?
the rendering doesn't have the same look as the photo which it ideally should
