  • hay dore!

just had a question after listening to this commentary, which is GREAT BTW as i dont have the codex 5th edition yet which im biding for on ebay.

My question is if a black templar squad loses 1 guy to 1 squad, they then do the rightous zeal test and move d6 if passed, but if another squad shoots the same squad do they also get to zeal again?

  • @Adrian890722 you only roll for righteous zeal once (per unit effected) at the conclusion of the shooting phase. In other words, each unit can only zeal a maximum of once per turn.

  • i think the old emp champ model is wayy nicer than the new one, i love his pose! ive bought 2 on ebay and il keep on as a backup case i lose 1;p

  • Those black Templars looked cool up on the ridge :)

  • how many parts in serios 1 and 2 in 1 i watched 7 and in 2 i watched 5 is that all of them

  • @allexallex4 There is a playlist on my channel called "Warhammer 40K 5th Edition Rules"

Series 1 has 7 main videos and 2 corrections/extended info vids (9 total)

    Series 2 has 5 videos

Series 3 has 5 videos (ran out of time to film 3 additional for Series 3)

When you're done with that, there's a video on area terrain, and a handful of "Rules You Get Wrong" videos which go into more rules.

    Hope that helps.

  • why don't you make vids anymore?

  • I just posted something yesterday. =) Still making the vids.

  • i sometimes play as black templar. But i usually play as the salamanders chapter!

    GR8 vid dude. love it!

  • I stopped playing warhammer 40K when second edition came out... Did not have money/time. Came back at the tail end of 3rd edition and BT and Salamanders were first given rules in the Armageddon codex. I immediately loved the fluff of both armies. That day I got the 3rd edition starter set, armageddon and Space Marine codex, and I happen to be at the GW store the same day that they were doing giveaways. I ended up with a 5 man neophyte squad of BT. It nudged me in the black templar direction

  • I'm really glad you liked the vid, the long winded response was just me agreeing, with both of your space marine chapter selections.

  • i like your paintings, you did a great job on that!

  • i play warhammer. im prettty good but not perfect. i have space marines and i have 1 razorback, 5 space marine squads, 3 vindicators and a lascannon predator. (yet somehow i still lose....)

  • youll get gunned down, too many squads and not enough assault, get rhinos atleast with smoke poppers

  • do orks operate by simply moving to close combat with the enemy?

  • depends on the ork unit, but with a base of 2 close combat attacks and nothing but assault/pistol weapons, the ork boyz in this tutorial will be doing just that.

  • cuz all i have are boyz and a warboss...

  • Then it's likely that you'll want to use terrain to your advantage (a 4 plus cover save is much better than a 6 plus armor save) and move your guys forward to get into assault. If you have the deffkoptaz from the Assault on Black Reach set, you really do add a lot of flexibility to your army.

  • ok....yeah i got that and i lose a ton of orks to my buddies space marine(those fuckers are tough) they save constantly(almost to a point that it seems a little OP). we are learning the basics before throwing in the vehicles and such..o we just use our infantry.

  • I'm new but i thought that Scuttle only gave them the scout ability which just lets them move their move at the begging of the game, doesn't say anything about them being able to deploy from table sides.

  • If you look at page 94 on the "outflank" section, you will see that units with the "Scout" or "infiltrate" special rule may outflank.

  • thanks for pointing that out will come in handy for my genestealers. Don't own my own hard copy of the Rulebook trying to find a pocket sized one is hard :/. and being a tyranid player dont really want to go get the black reach box set just for it. thought its only like 20 bucks more then the hardcover book so i might as well

  • You know, I am going to start recommending 40k newbies to this. Way to go, Dormicon! =D

  • Thanks!!! Trying to get new players spun up on the rules is why I do this.

  • Your welcome. ^_^

  • its a really fun game but its rediculously complicated lol

  • I will say that it definitely has a sharp learning curve. People that learn the rules pretty much become Warhammer fans for life.

  • This guy pretty much taught me to play warhammer with his videos. He kept me from embarrassing myself too bad when I went to Hobby town.

  • Glad to see the series back up and running =D

    Great vid DoRe!!

  • dude the black templars are totally screwed

  • yes they are !

  • the chance of a hive tyrant damaging a landraider is very slim. Only if you got very lucky with the dice

  • With Toxin Sacks, the strength of a hive tyrant is 6 and gets 2d6 armor penetration against vehicles. Average score will be a 13 (just below the landraider armor), but for this battle I wanted a lot of close combat assault stuff, so I decked it out with two scything talons. When the hive tyrant I have fell apart on me, I played it out where the tyrant assaulted the land raider. On 6 attacks (5 hits) it got 2 glances and a pen. They were just all weapon destroyed results.

  • looking cool

  • Hmmmm...huuuurrrt orkses.

End the Fed. Audit stars with HR 1207.

  • hrmmm...I think those orks are in for a surprise and a world of hurt the next round!

  • dude you rok

  • kool
