When the coast guard does thoes roung weather training exersizes with their 47 foot boats the boat occassionally capsizes, can anyone with this sort of experience tell me this... Are you harnessed to the boat in anyway? as the boat self rights i would imagine that you would get quite a tough time tying to hang on, and do u just hold your breath?
i personally have not been in the uscg or on any of those boats but i do know that you are harnessed in and im pretty sure that they just hold their breath but im not sure on that one
We wear heavy weather belts that buckle around us like seat belts and they have two hooks that hook around various parts of the boat so we are always secured in some way.
yes you are strapped in to the 47 foot boat. And yes you must hold your breath. That boat comes up within 30 seconds or faster. But that entire time your holding your breath your hoping that boat will go back up.
i love it. my boat is in it at 3:06 when we where doing helo ops in alaska. shit i was there when they where taking that, i was on the helm haha.good video.
If you are no longer on the meds you'll be okay. I'm a retired coastie and in my opinion if you can get into the Air Force, even doing admin, go for it. Its absolutely the best military force bar none. Once you are in and improve your skills you may be able to lateral to a different field. But every military sections need admin types. So don't think being an admin type is a bad thing. Good luck. Semper Paratus.

Okay. I'll rate it crap because of the horrific screeching instead of something useful.
