Im sick of people saying Wc2 was better, of course it was, why would a sequel not fix the problems the first one had.

What I love about the original is the story and the awesome animated characters in the briefings, the game itself feels like its so slow its all in bullet time but I got used to it and played it all through the human campaign. WoW ain't got nothing on WC1. And there's really nothing else that can replicate the feeling we got in Warcraft 1.

@UnknowGuy100 What are you talking about? Warcraft 1 was a masterpiece! You can't describe the athmosphere when you were playing with humans and suddenly you notice orcs coming! It was wonderful. Don't get me wrong, Warcraft 2 is extremely good game, but you can't rly compare it to wc1. I always used to love wc1 more because of the great maps, music and tangible athmosphere while playing it.

My favourite RTS's would have to be Starcraft ,Age of Empires and Warcarft. Didn't play much Warcarft 1 to be honest though, mailny War2.

But playing Starcraft online was a fuckin blast. Just Wish the custom maps and battle.net with SC2 would be easier to access and stuff.

Okay, I will admit by today's standards these games may seem low-rez and graphically inferior. However, these were made when the "look" of the game was secondary to the storyline. And warcraft has one of the most extensive and deep storylines of any game in history, second only perhaps to that of Dungeons and Dragons. This is not primitive. This is VINTAGE!

playing this I never clicked the icons on the left toolbar unless I had a necrolyte or a warlock, you can just hit A for most of it.

This was a great video btw, just thought I'd throw in my two cents for those saying that the game was mouse intensive and wondering how to select more than one unit.

you know, you can hit a and the click the ground and it will make the units move to that location and attack any unit that comes in there way, I saw a lot of units get killed because you told them to attack one target at a time, and often not the closest unit.

you can select multiple units by holding down the shift key and selecting up to 4 units or you can hold down the control key clicking and draging a square to select multiple units.

I am not a big RTS fan...but Dune II is the second best game I have ever played.

Warcraft II is up there for me as well.

Dune II rates for me because it pioneered the popularity of the genre on PC and showed other developers that it was a viable market.

If Wow was more like WC 1 then I would consider playing it. They should have left it with just orcs and humans. And the occasional water and fire elemental. Oh and the demonds and skelotons of course. But no they added all sorts of other races and fancy powers, all that just made it gay. It should have had more of a mid evil feel to it.
