he died, sadly by his own hand in October 2003. personally i have never felt a bigger loss in a musician. he owns my heart for all time. the album Either/Or was the first i bought and have never turned back.

Elliott Smith. Fantastic musician! ( died young though, suicide I think) I recommend the album "Figure 8". Very beatlesque,gorgeous songs.
