  • thank you Elliott.

  • this bastard got to be driven around by elliot(t) smiff. god damn it.

  • I wish the video went on forever.....

  • A highly underrated musician whose influence is sorely missed. Rest in peace Elliott.

  • saw him play in Chicago SEVERAL times...One of the greatest songwriters of my generation.

  • He sounds alot like george, In th best possibe way, alot of soul and heart in this

  • it is a beautiful song. a beautiful guy.

fuck. i wish he were still around to play it.

  • rip elliott. i wish i would have know abt him when he was still alive.

  • i cried.

  • casual

  • i meant "casual" in a positive light, by how cool Elliott is

  • ahahhaha. this is just hilarious to me. the way that you commented on that. you sound like a 30 year old just starting out on the internet. ahaha

  • he reminds of real original person

  • he doesn't remind me that much of nick drake... they're both great guitarists, or were, i guess. pink moon reminds me of some elliott stuff, though. that song's brilliant.

  • yeah me either i'm a fan of both of them but i don't really see the comparison, drake's music seemed to ancient and elliott's so pop i don't know i guess i haven't everysong by both them

  • gorgeous video.

  • He reminds me so much of Nick Drake. I'm sure he was influenced by him strongly. Elliot covered the best Harrison songs. So sad that he died so young.

  • he actually had never heard of him untill he read about himself being compared to him. then he checked them out.

  • actually he had heard only a part of a drake song or something like that, its in an interview somewhere i know it for a fact.

  • you got this all wrong. the coroner was the one who misspelled the name wrong ON the report. the suicide note was spelled correctly

  • Great vdieo, I'd like to see the rest if anyone could supply me with a link : ). There's speculation that Elliott's death was homicide, his body had defense wounds on his forarms, and there were no hesitation wounds around the stab. Also, as a point of interest he signed his 'suicide'letter Elliot with one t instead of the usual two. There's still no official report on the subject however..

  • Some people think Elliott cut himself, which would explain the "defense wounds" on his arms.

  • His friends, including that one dude sitting next to him in that interview where they discuss his status as a "sad sack" have also made this claim. so.. im not sure why everyone is giving this comment a thumbs down.. talk people.

  • ahahah

its like you guys are just shouting out random facts and seeing if someone strikes up a conversation with you. ahaha,

  • There is a bootleg of his cover of the entire song (from a concert, not this film) floating around. It's my favorite Beatles cover of his.

  • what site?

  • he had so much to offer..

  • he died? shit!! yeah ill have to look for that album thanks

  • he died, sadly by his own hand in October 2003. personally i have never felt a bigger loss in a musician. he owns my heart for all time. the album Either/Or was the first i bought and have never turned back.

i hope he does the same to you.

  • who is this smith guy? its a good cover he does

  • Elliott Smith. Fantastic musician! ( died young though, suicide I think) I recommend the album "Figure 8". Very beatlesque, gorgeous songs.

  • yeah i suggest his self titled album (which was his second album to anyone)

  • elliott smith is maybe the greatest singer / songwriter of this generation.
