  • It's been so long! Time Flies!

  • yo, I know your son, Nick Weber.

  • Were you the leader of the rally? Like, were you the one who organized the marching Protest?

  • It was a community effort, many organization came together to make that day possible, especially Kings Park Neighbors Association and Kings Park Youth Organization.

  • By the way, great video. Hopefully the budget doesn't reject our urge for kings park. But lets hope most importantly that the New York State doesn't deduct the school's fund like it had done previously.

  • Is that Chris Iacobellis @ 6:55, the guy with the red hat, and the jacket? Standing in the back, while you're interviewing that little boy?

  • Yes it is! Chris is my neighbor and an all around good fellow.

  • When was this video shot? I don't think budget plans, especially when parents pay taxes for school funds, will have to go directly into settting up a park. the money that citizen pay for taxes, should be sent direct to other inportant services, like warfare, or a local thing for your community is to set a higher tax rate for parents to pay schools, and the town could have more important, helpful resources. But I think tax money, and school budget, sholud rather go to much more important things.

  • About 3 years ago, yes I agree, the state is broke, we have to make tough choices. 1 Million was cut from the Kings Park School System along from NYS, there just isn't the money develop a new park. I am very disappointed with the state management of the area, there are plenty of activities which can be permitted on the property as is, so far, for the most part the state is not interested in that right now.

  • I don't think they want to spend the money on taking the buildings down and building a sk8 park with the economy like this... SK8 PARK!

  • I'm certain that you are correct. One million dollars of State Aid has just been cut from the Kings Park School District's budget. I can picture the headline....."State cuts 1 Million From Schools and also decides to fully fund skateboard park." We need a more realistic solution, some ideas are to secure and warehouse some of the buildings and grounds until the economy improves or investors can be found to use some of the resources in the old KPPC and use the money generated to fund the park.

  • Yaaa we want a skate board park lol
