This was the only song my daddy ever sang,his party piece.He was a proud gentle man, whp didn't have a bitter or bigoted bone in his fine self,but was proud of his heritage and his faith, even though most of his friend were Protestant - they all adored him, and I am so glad I found this, brings back such sweet and precious memories from my childhood of the wonderful tradition of patience,tolerance and dignity in which I was raised.
