Most unbalanced class in game. I deleted my tier 3 squig herder and made a maruader. Squig herders have no dps or armor. When i first saw "light armor" on SH i thought it was a joke. My lv 10 Maruader already has more armor than my lv 20 sh

The Beta screenshots really put me off, but seeing everything running (animation and visual effects (think: spells)) really changed my mind. Also, hearing some of the Epic music that will be played while you're fighting only turned me over to WAR more :D

What im saying is that you can twink but i wouldnt expect many people to try it because considering all a twink does is pvp, and considering in warhammer online pvping makes you level, they would level out of the bracket
well in WoW when u do battle grtounds and pvp :-) u dont get experience :-) in WAR when you pvp you gain expeirnce and level :-) so uc ant twink because u couldnt stay at one level and pvp because u get expeirnce :-)
also, squigs are dumb and will run off and die at every opportunity, and you can only have one at a time. You also can order squigs to Chomp, dealing moderate bonus melee damage, or if it screws up, make it explode (Farty Squig). Or, eat it to regain health (Tastes Like Chicken).

No, they said the goblin litterally crawls inside the squig and pulls on organs inside of it to control it, right in the podcasts on warhammeronline, just gotta look for it. Besides, thats kinda cool, goblins have always been the kind of humorous creatures in fantasy anyways.
Squig Herders are the Destruction equivalent of the White Lion. Both class has pets but each one has a different speciality. The Squig herder is more of a skirmisher, while the White Lion is more of a brawler. So in comparison to the other pet class, as well as many of the others, they will not be as effective in hand-to-hand combat because it is not thier speciality. However I do not see why someone couldn't try and gear the character towards performing well in h2h combat. Anything is possible!
You are thinking of the class archetypes(i.e Ranged DPS, Melee DPS, Tank, Support). The mirrored classes share similar mechanics(stances) and not forms of DPS. Hate to be the barer of bad news folks...Squig Herder is the Destro equivalent of the Shadow Warrior. White Lion is built to model Marauder.
You are correct on the Magus and Engineer.
Anywho, Shadow Warrior and Squig Herders are ranged DPS, with SOME close combat ability. White Lion and Marauder are Medium Armor Melee (close combat) DPS.
Basically just because it has a pat, doesn't mean it plays anything like another pet class. And trust me, they play nothing alike.
Well, I'm pretty sure the Squig Herder is still the equivalent to the White Lion, not the Shadow Warrior. The Shadow Warrior is a stance switcher, just like the Marauder. The Squig Herder has to depend on a pet to some degree, just like the White Lion.
They're not talking about your position on the battlefield, but more of the mechanic of how each class is played. The reason they're paired is because they'll be dealing with similar challenge, just on different sections of the battlefield.
Yeah, from what I've read/heard, I believe there's 3 or so different types of Squigs. There's your tank squig which'll probably be only useful in PvE soloing, your damage squig, and I think I heard something about a poison squig? But there's going to be variety and strategy behind which squig you use, which will be awesome.

There's various Squigs for various reasons, seems like they said the Spiked Squig would have ranged attack. And yes, only one squig per Herder. This is all based on playing a Squig Herder at E for All Fall of 07. Things may be different now.
Nobody knows if its just the beta cus real game aint out yet (obviously), there are various squigs to play with so dont let that one aspect bring the whole game down.

Yes, at Rank 40 you get access to 3 instances, so there aren't so many of them. Overall there's 5 instances.

Yes u can get to LOTD when ur 25 BUT it will be very hard to do any tombs there, and not many (except guild) will accept a 25-39 to tomb group.

Yes ranks are levels and the level cap is 40. You get Xp for leveling by PvE or PvP. So unlike WOW you cannot create twink characters.

Basic Squig: Just a useless pet that can attack.
Gas squig: A ranged squig, weak to attacks, and increases the range of your bow attacks by 10%.
Spiked Squig: Shoots spikes, increases your chance to crit by 5%
Horned Squig : Headbutts people with a giant spike. Increases your armor by 100% while controlled
Super Squig (Squig Armor): Eats you, turning you temporarily into a Melee DPS class

Do the Squig Herders and other ranged classes that use bows/guns need ammo??? I found that to be annoying in WoW.

No, they said the goblin litterally crawls inside the squig and pulls on organs inside of it to control it, right in the podcasts on warhammeronline, just gotta look for it. Besides, thats kinda cool, goblins have always been the kind of humorous creatures in fantasy anyways.

Squig Herders are the Destruction equivalent of the White Lion. Both class has pets but each one has a different speciality. The Squig herder is more of a skirmisher, while the White Lion is more of a brawler. So in comparison to the other pet class, as well as many of the others, they will not be as effective in hand-to-hand combat because it is not thier speciality. However I do not see why someone couldn't try and gear the character towards performing well in h2h combat. Anything is possible!

Hate to be the barer of bad news folks...Squig Herder is the Destro equivalent of the Shadow Warrior. White Lion is built to model Marauder.
You are correct on the Magus and Engineer.
Anywho, Shadow Warrior and Squig Herders are ranged DPS, with SOME close combat ability. White Lion and Marauder are Medium Armor Melee (close combat) DPS.
Basically just because it has a pat, doesn't mean it plays anything like another pet class. And trust me, they play nothing alike.

Well, I'm pretty sure the Squig Herder is still the equivalent to the White Lion, not the Shadow Warrior. The Shadow Warrior is a stance switcher, just like the Marauder. The Squig Herder has to depend on a pet to some degree, just like the White Lion.
They're not talking about your position on the battlefield, but more of the mechanic of how each class is played. The reason they're paired is because they'll be dealing with similar challenge, just on different sections of the battlefield.

Yeah, from what I've read/heard, I believe there's 3 or so different types of Squigs. There's your tank squig which'll probably be only useful in PvE soloing, your damage squig, and I think I heard something about a poison squig? But there's going to be variety and strategy behind which squig you use, which will be awesome.

hmm....my thoughts, you ask? First off, I like the hunched way the goblins run, makes them look like the little pricks they're supposed to be. Second, I saw the curser is bigger than in normal games. That needs to be toned down. Also I seemed to notice the squigs basicially only have a mouth/spikes to attack with and yet are somehow in the videos attacking from a distance? I would like to know if it's just with the beta.A lso, I only saw 1 squig per herder, and wonder if that's all there'll be.

There's various Squigs for various reasons, seems like they said the Spiked Squig would have ranged attack. And yes, only one squig per Herder. This is all based on playing a Squig Herder at E for All Fall of 07. Things may be different now.

WoW kiddies need to understand that this is going out there to be the best RvR game available, it is not trying to be the new WoW, WoW is a PvE game that devs now think is a PVP game and is now being completely ruined because of that. I don't know why you faggots freak out so much. WoW was a direct copy of EQ just turned into an EZmode version of it with its already borrowed Warhammer skin. WoW has awesome PvE, is easy to get into, and alright PvP vs aiming to be amazing PvP and RvR.
