  • 4:37 he's BLUE lol :D

  • Does anyone else find it worrying that each centaur is paired up with a look-alike? Genetic diversity does not approve.

  • 70 years later and still a better love story than Twilight.

  • 3:22==> The thicket at the foreground follows them xD

I've always loved Fantasia, I bought the DVD <3

  • I love this so much..

  • emo 2:05 lol

  • 0:21 oh look mermaids! pretty AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH 0:37 AHHHH OMG WTF IS THAT 0_0

  • @tubbyfatty1 lol those where female centaurs silly and little cupids helping them attract the male centaurs

  • So, Fantasia is a Walt-Disney product influenced by the works of famous composers?

  • I used to love this movie when I was little and now I don't remember which version it was. The 1940 movie or the newer one. I just remember the story 'The Sorcerer's Apprentice' and the story about the centaur. Do the centaurs also appear in Fantasia 2000?

  • Excuse me, but, where is the racist part? ._. I don't see it *feel stupid*

  • @KrisselMajere I don't see it either

  • I loved this so much as a kid :)

  • i really love the male and female Centaurs they are my Favorites

  • I'm confuddled. In which part of the video was there racism?

  • 4:32 "these bitches are about to get laid"

4:39 "im all alone and i'm horny"

4:57 "hey look at this loser over here"

5:06 "lets match up the girl loser with the boy loser. sex for everybody!"

6:20 "it's about to go down"

  • @whiterexy789 dude when i read this and then watched the vid's moments omg i nearly fell off my chair laughing hysterically!! XD

  • 3:17 He likes big tails and he cannot lie! :))

  • 1:22 all dat cherub ass

  • it reaminds me of cronicles of narnia

  • for some reason the red haired one with the birds on her head remind me of a teenage jessica rabbit when her hair is down :P

  • all you people commenting are weirdos! This isn't racist, isn't sexist and was made in much more innocent times than we live in today.

  • How in the world is showing black centaurs as African racist? Don't just give me some arm-waving rhetoric, build a logical argument, if you know how.

  • you know, i never thought much of the boobs at the beginning, I always just thought they were to match the shilouete of the charater like the cherubs.

ps i always lold at how every last one of the butts of the cherubs are rosy

  • HAHAHA at the end, that is the actual origin of the love heart, a girl bending over

  • @watermelon668 It's a cherub, not a girl.

  • How the fuck is this "sexist"?

And believe it or not, but racism did happen. Why cover up history?

    Get over it.

  • i don't give a fuck if it's racist. it's sexy!!!!

  • oh right, this is where I got my centaur fetish from

  • In retrospect, this movie has a lot of nudity for a kids film.

  • Mating season?

  • Belive me, I love this movie, the animation, the soundtrack and this scene...

But in the original myths Centaurs were VERY wild, furious, crude, brutal and irascible creatures XP They actually used to get drunk and set off extremely violent clashes. Except for few of them, like Chiron, the great and wise trainer of heroes.

Anyway this scene still fascinates me, it's incredible.

  • @DeepEye1994 And mice don't speak or walk on their hind legs or steal magicians' wands and make brooms move.

  • this is a like a first date video <3 where the girl gets all excited and gitty and puts all sorts of things cuz every girl likes feeling pretty and the guy showing charm and all that, its the bliss of flirting and the beginning of love <3

  • die rassistische szene wo das negerkentaurenmädchen dem weissen kentaurenmädchen den schweif flechtet ist wohl rausgeschnitten worden^^

  • Okay, to all of those who are screaming "sexism" and "racism", just stop. If you want to be offended by something, you can find SOMETHING offensive in any movie, any book, any form of entertainment whatsoever. Any bigotry in here, if it's not a figment of your black imagination, is not the focus and is not that big of a deal, so stop making mountains out of mole hills.

  • Well gee, this explains why I was always trying to run around naked growing up

  • What movie is this? If it is a movie.

  • @MyBackyardCemetery Fantasia, from 1940

  • @anasarbescu Best. Movie. EVER! :)

  • @MyBackyardCemetery fantasia 1940

  • @MyBackyardCemetery Fantasia, check it out. It is phenomenal all the way through.

  • @MyBackyardCemetery It's the best Disney movie ever made! My favorite :)

  • @MyBackyardCemetery its called fantasia, its a disney movie, its really just a bunch of symphonies made into a movie

  • Oh god, stop bitching people. This movie was made in 1940, not 2011. There is going to be racism and sexism, because guess what? Both were a lot more rampant back then. If you can't deal with it, stick to your happy go lucky movies made in the last 10 years and shut up.

  • When we were kids we never saw the underlining racism or the sexist undertones. We watched this because we thought it was pretty and liked the story. And yes, this was made in the 1940's, different time and different mindsets of people. Today we're not much better. There are still racially and culturally stereotypical shows out there but now we laugh at them.

  • @ 2:02 so winged kids have no genitals. What does that make them, asexual?

  • I am glad they have girl centaurs on this.

  • so beautiful! my childhood!

  • This is just so cute and so full of love as in my chidl memories.. Thank you so much for this piece. I do love fit !! ♥

  • très joli :)

  • Sheesh, just watch the clip. If it bothers you, don't. Yes, we might consider it racist, but unfortunately at the time it really wasn't. Remember the historical context. But that is probably too much to ask of many people who look for ways to be offended.

  • Beautiful cartoon and music but also some undeniable underlying sexist and/or racist views, a very interesting portrayal of the mentallity of the 40s. Thanks alot for sharing this!

  • I knew i remembered the song xDDDD Lol. I only did not know it was from this part. <2

  • Some people on the internet are so ignorant. This is not "sexist" its beautiful. The 2 genders have predominant characteristics, theres no getting away from that fact. It's not a bad thing & doesn't affect equality. It's not evil to point out the differences, its only sexist if u r prejudiced towards someone because of them. U need to growup if u can't handle a bit of "nudity" or "sexuality" in a cartoon. U PC people would prob remove gender from dictionaries given a chance. Get over yourselves.

  • le paradis de mon enfance merci+++++

  • These cupids would be the best wingmans lol.

  • I don't care what any one says I love Fantasia and kudos to the poster! Also too I think the women Centaurs are sweet because they spoil their men. I think its cute cause you always see guys spoiling girls now a days from a fancy dinner to brushing their hair. Me personally, I like to be spoiled by my guy but its just as fun spoiling him. Dinner, movie, talking about scifi stuff, sometimes I get to brush his long hair which makes me happy. sorry rambling

  • I don't care what any one says I love Fantasia and kudos to the poster!

  • are the cupids pimps?

  • @jmzimmerman1984: And personal stylists.

  • y'know I saw this as a kid and the bare breasted scene never impacted me in any way. I didn't know what boobs were back then and I thought they were mermaids at first anyway.

  • @jmzimmerman1984

It never did any mental damage to me either I don't know why people are freaking out about.

  • How about you stop fighting about it and all the underlying issues you create about it, and enjoy how the music accurately portrays what is going on through the animation. Its amazing how they interweave it all so perfectly.

  • @eternallyawildflower

Don't you mean how the ANIMATION accurately portrays the MUSIC??

  • this made me want to be a centaur soo bad when i was little

  • i would still hit that

  • aw man, peeling that bark off is fo sho gonna kill that tree.

  • I watched this cartoon as a kid and I never thought of it as "oh the maid is black and she's being picked on! Racist!" I just thought "wow... that girl centar is being a real brat to her freind. I bet none of the boys will like her." But one of them always did, so I thought he had bad character judgement and should dump her. xD

  • @IHighflyerI I thought the same thing too lol

  • I am happy that they have girl centaurs on this.

  • What a masterpiece!

The final meeting of the lone centaur with the girl, shown to him by the 3 angels playing flute, reminds me of the Papageno and Papagena meeting duet, in Mozart's The Magic Flute.

  • Sorry, but mythical human hybrid don't wear store bought clothes.

Horses don't hide their junk, why should the centaur ladies hide their chests?

  • One of the best songs on CIV IV!

  • To be honest, why cut things out? Why pretend America wasn't a really racist country? White-washing history is so much worse than showing the racism that was around. Plus this piece is very beautiful. And yeah the women aren't strong... that's not what women weren't seen to be then. And they're just boobs. Calm down.

  • i wanna be one of them !!!!

  • This is a brony's wet dream >.>

  • @gypsyjaguar ...no.

  • Comment removed

  • I want to be a Centaur :)

  • Really Sexy ^^

  • OH MY GAWD GUYS YES THERE WAS A BLACK FEMALE FAUN THAT WAS RACIST BUT WHAT DO YOU EXPECT IT WAS THE 1940's!!!!? and I hate people who are like "thats what they tech to our children" you know what yes, i saw this when i was little and i loved it, the art the music, everything about it, it stimulated my mind and imagination!!!

  • hehe the cherubs are just schooo adorable :3 though you gotta get a bit curious about their gender. lol

  • I remember first watching fantasia when i was six, and even to today, at the age of sixteen, i still love it. I am an avid history student, and I do not support prejudice and such, but i still appreciate the beauty of the art in the video above. the only issue i have with this video is how they paired the centaurs... like blue with blue... pink haired female with red haired male... it's so.. barbie and ken like. never really liked barbie. or ken. huh.

  • Can we all just stop arguing and remember that this is from 1940? Times were different, a LOT has changed. This is just how the cartoon world was back then. Let it go, enjoy the music.

  • I can remember when my dad got the vhs for me...:) I still got it with me...:D...

  • Beautiful cartoon... with wonderful Beethoven's music... I dont see any racist in it... but paradisian scene ..! Thanks for sharing ;))

  • @clochette67 Here's the racist version

    /watch?v=WPKpFNm3QMM

It shows a black girl with stereotypical features on her knees serving a white female fawn creature.

One could argue that the black female character was made to appear cute and happy, but compared to the other creatures, not so much. The original film hit the silver screen in 1940.

    en.wikipedia(.)org/wiki/Fantasia_(film)

Our nation has learned some lessons and cut the racist scenes.

Instead, we now have, "The Princess And The Frog."

  • I love this <3 :)

  • Wait I'm confused, where is the said "racism" in this...? This is the first time I have watched it in ages, and I'm not far into it yet, but is it racist just because it has dark centaurs...? :L

  • @93goldenfish there is an older version, with an affrican looking centaur who seemed to be a slave to one of the girls, you can watch it here /watch?v=WPKpFNm3QMM it is quite racist, but times were different and stuff, it's still a beautiful animation (:

  • BTW =^w^= I love this song because i like greek mythology and i wish i could live in a paradise like that with pegasi and cherubs and rainbows and unicorns and flowers and skittles and anime and manga and music

  • okay to make things clear about the centaur girls... THEY'RE HALF ANIMAL FOR CRYING OUT LOUD! They have the part that says cover up yo boobs but because they are part animal they dont care too much about clothes and also they want to be attractive so they can find a mate y'know? i mean we all have that instinct! Boys act all strong and girls wear skimpier clothing like v-necks and skirts JUST DEAL WITH IT!!!

  • OMG this movie is perverted?! how sick some people can be?! this is a cartoon for crying out loud!!!

  • What a lovely little fairyland ball scene!

  • don't hate me for this, but were the nude flying babys running a brothel, coz thats what i get now, i do love this part, but, that's just wat i'm getting from this

  • oh my god thats what they tech to our children

  • @TheUAE88 what exactly is that? that your are frustrated and you see only shits in a beautiful cartoon?

  • @anasarbescu The blue with the blue, the brown with the brown... No interracial partnerships... just to start!

  • @anasarbescu Why is it no one can spell correctly? Clearly they're not teaching anyone's children English. On a side note, this is from 1940 and I doubt many children these days even know what Fantasia is. People need to learn how to appreciate these animators' and writers' work. It's beautiful. So shut up.

  • @TheUAE88 Huh? I watched this when I was about 2 or so and I never even noticed it all til now. XD

  • @TheUAE88 And they obviously didn't "tech" you how to spell or capitalize. Either that or you just chose not to learn. A lot of the problems in this country aren't the teachers' faults.

  • @TheUAE88 yea bc im sure at like 5 years old these kids were jerking off to beautiful nude centaurs without any nipples.

  • @TheUAE88 Michael Tsarion is the worlds premier conspiracy reseracher/lecturer/author. Leo Zagami, Jordan Maxwell and Alexandre Dumas pere are highly informative as well. p.s. Melting Euphoria is similar to Ozric Tentacles and Gong.

  • @TheUAE88 I don't know, but I see they didn't teach you proper English spelling and grammar..

  • @TheUAE88 they don't "tech" anything. I'd be more fucking frightened of someone who can barely spell being a parent.

  • @TheUAE88 todays media is much worse

  • We all need a platoon of cherubs, wouldn't you say?

  • não gostei muito dos homens cavalos, gostaria que fossem mais masculinos

  • As much as I have thoroughly enjoyed this beautiful piece, I can't help but notice the feeling of disturbance and discomfort lingering in the pit of my stomach about this Paradise.

  • I don't really care about all the negative comments in here. All I see is a beautiful piece of art that makes me smile and that is good enough for me.

  • The cherubs are so cute! I think they are my favourite characters :) I love how they get everyone together <3

  • Have you watched the real version? It's so racist. Don't care about the nudity, it's normal. But it's so sexist. The guys are big and strong. The girls are beautiful and shy. Blah blah blah. No, I can't enjoy this. I kept feeling sorry for the little slave centaur.

  • @93Natson65 it's exactly the same situation as with the sexuality. :)

if you notice it, you have a problem and you are frustrated. why don't you ever feel sorry for a dog in the north pole that is dying pulling the master's sled?

on the other hand... during that time... americans still had mentality problems with the black people. si i guess there are some habits of theirs that can be seen in the video.

yes, i have seen the uncut version. this is original too, but it cut some scenes.

  • @anasarbescu what are you talking about? YOU are the one with a problem. this is a beautiful cartoon, but I am soo glad they cut the racist parts out. You obviously, haven't put yourself in someone shoes before. People like you that go around saying "so what if it has racist scenes," are the same type of people who kept silent when innocent people were being tortured and killed. Just because it didnt directly affect them"--this people are just as guilty as the ones that committed the acts.

  • @sweetangelofpeace why don't you worry and cry about other problems like these also that happened about the same time in the history or not necessarily....like the poor natives that were killed by the americans in order to establish "civilization" on their land? or about the bomb from Hiroshima? or the war from Vietnam and all the Africa countries for taking their oil?? why don't you stand up for that?

  • @sweetangelofpeace so don't give me shit now. how about all the oscar movies that give the shittiest image on the 3rd world countries??or even others from the Eastern Europe?ountries that you never heard about but you enjoy seeing a "very realistic image of the world"?aren't you disturbed by that? shouldn't they be forbidden? i posted a beautiful cartoon, and you all here eat shit. there are tons of racist movies nowadays..talk about them not this

  • @anasarbescu You both have very good points but why cant we enjoy this beautiful clip? Its in respect and honor of some of music's most legendary pieces :) I'm not saying that the racism is ok, its not, i'm just simply saying that maybe we can be a little more adult about this and just enjoy the beauty and the music of this cartoon. Please dont take it personally, just doing good and hoping to break up an argument. :)

  • @93Natson65 For crying out loud. Get off the pity pot. The race card is such a cop out.

  • You are perfectly right, I am glad they took some parts out of it.Dont listen to anasarbescu.Just because it was made back then, when racism was okay, doesn't mean it should be ok now.Media has the power to spread very negative messages and if racist scenes are allowed back into the mainstream, by passive and egotistical people like her who dont think it affects them, then more children will learn to hate.I really like this cartoon, in fact I grew up watching it. But lets cut the racism out :)

  • @93Natson65 WOW, just WOW...implying average male is not bigger than average female...implying that girls are not beautiful too? Besides, this is from 1940, think about the situation back then...what do you think people at 1940 would think of us if they got to see back then the situation we are in now regarding sex, morals and such?

  • @93Natson65 That´s why it represents the society of 1940, it was before that the figths for the equality began and it simbolyzes the social point of view about men and women as well as white and black people of that time.

  • @93Natson65 Oh shut up.. if you dont/wont enjoy this then why are you even clicking on to watch this vid. bugger off & leave the rest of us normal folk to enjoy this...

  • @93Natson65

Do you have any idea how many innocent children died of starvation while you typed that comment? How many starving children could be fed from the money you pay for your internet connection every month?

  • @93Natson65 Keep in mind, this was 1940. No one was quite as overly politically-correct

  • yep cartoons were like this and nobody had a problem with it. hell cheetara was naked on the first episode of thundecats and nobody complained.

  • I think this part of the movie shaped pretty much all of my romantic hopes and dreams.

  • I found this scene quite cute, actually. :3

  • My favorite Fantasia scene! Such a beautiful piece, thank you for posting! Such awesome quality too.

  • @ashlee22559 thank you too :)

  • I love this movie.. One of my favourite creatures are the centaurus' :)

  • It wasn't until very recently that I discovered people actually had a problem with this segment of the film.

Actually I found it more unbelievable that people would have ANY problem with this film PERIOD.

When I found out why people were in an uproar over it I just laughed.

"Nudity? Sexuality? Racial insensitivity?" Are you kidding me? The fact that there's a zebra centaur in here is not racist. The fact that they're nude is not sexual.

    Just enjoy the film.

  • Dude. Smilefumble is right. Fantasia isn't a perverted movie. It's about natural beauty. Humans are the only creatures that wear clothes. Animals don't make clothes to wear on themselves, so they're all technically naked. Besides, haven't you guys seen pictures of people way back in Roman and Greek times? People were naked all the time. Look at the statues of David, and Aphrodite.

  • the angels was so cute when they were imitating the purple centaur!!^^

  • I can see most people are in an uproar about the nudity, but if you watch the original uncut version you'll see the racism that disney censored. To me, that would be a bigger issue than nudity.

  • This is beautiful. Everything about it, this is a masterpiece.

  • I remember watching this as a kid. And all I remember thinking was that the music was the most beautiful thing I had ever heard, and that the bright colors were simply amazing.

  • I mean so it is a nice film when people are normal

but today everything becomes perverted by the media.

This is why people become unsure and are acting like

that now. And what kills people is that we have a mix of

real perverts hiding behind harmless things and ruin them

also then by doing that or use it to sexualise children. So

people wish to have straight lines to seperate perv. from

normal and could live a life which is fair, unspoiled.

  • I LOVED this movie as a kid. And it teaches kids how to be musically diversed. Actually made me wanna learn how to play an instrument :)

  • i like the baby angle follow wat tat guy do lol...

  • I really wish I had those little... angel/cupid thingys to dress me exactly like them every day... That's wierd, but I wish I could wear doves on my head and pull it off :/ lmao

  • I love this part!!! Such creativity and natural beauty!!! :)

  • Love this! There is a difrence between sexual content and forms of art , i find it quiet cute actualy , and come on the singers and actors we have now adays is sexual .

  • kinda freaky at the end when the babys ass turns into a heart o.O

  • i wish i was a centaur so that little cupids can wait on me hand and foot

  • Funny, I don't see part 3 anywhere. But I still love it nevertheless!!

  • It really ticks me off how people go on saying this movie is "perverted" and junk. Sorry to bring MY opinion into this but it truely isnt. I believe the reasons they showed parts of the bodies was to show NATURAL beauty. Something you cant get with makeup, it was trying tot show the beauty of nature and the human body. If you're gonna say that this movie is wrong and such, PLEASE, I beg you, go away. Sorry for bringing my opinion in here, anasarbescu, I love ya for putting this up, thank you.

  • @TheKittylover1 thanks for you comment :) i appreciate it.

  • @TheKittylover1 i understad you compltly it's art and beauty

  • love it how when they all pair off, the couples are all colour coordinated :P

  • @seabiscuit1995 yeah centaurs are sort of sensitive about these things. If you're smart you don't bring it up in conversations where centaurs are involved :P

  • one of my fave parts

  • awwwww this was adorable specialy with the cupids butt lols

  • I love itso romantic!!!

  • Dude, I need to find me a cherub. They're makeup artists, hair specialists, musicians, waiters, and matchmakers all rolled into one!

  • It's funny how I loved watching this part of fantasia the most when I was little and to do this day Beethoven's 6th symphony is my favourite piece of classical music and I am doing honours in Classics at the moment! I guess watching Dionysus and centaurs etc having so much fun when I was young influenced my decision to study where they came from!

  • i love this.

  • some of you guys are sickening.

  • Even watching this as an adult, (or I may just be incredibly stupid) I see no sexual innuendos at all. There are no actions in this peice depicting pornographic material. The human body is a natural thing. The content in the video itself would say if its porn or not. Are the characters exploiting themselves in a sexual manner? No. The females are flirting iwth the males true, but when was that wrong? The movie is renowned for its fantastic animation, and has been around generations.

  • @Saora My thoughts exactly. where do people get the idea that the human body is evil, or funny?

  • I wish it were that easy to find love like the horses. Just match with the other person who looks like you.

  • When my older brother and I first saw this, we'd no idea what a centaur was. When the centaurs were in the water, my bro and I thought they were mermaids. When that red one stepped out, my brother was like "HUH!". Later, we asked our mom what the creatures were and she told us they were centaurs.

  • @smilefumble yeah :))))) makes sense

  • no dislikes :) just the way it should be!

  • I think this film is the cause of my love for classical music.

  • so cute

  • They're twitterpated!

  • this was so beautiful cute artistic and funny, i never saw this fantasia only the 2000 one, i feel robbed of my childhood

  • my love for fashion accessories became here...aaaah dove's wings!! ♥
