Before my Sky Redline was delivered, my dealership installed the GM factory turbo upgrade. You keep your full warranty, it is a GM upgrade kit. The car now has 290hp and 340 ft/lbs torque. I've run 13.28 in the quarter with NO other changes. It is how the car was delivered at the dealer. S2000 has SHIT for torque, way less HP, and a tranny that can't take shit for abuse. People put LS2 V8s in the Sky with the original transmission and rearend with NO problems. S2000s can't play with Sky/Solstice

With an LS2 you need to swap in a different trans for it to work in the Sky/Solstice. you need a 4l60e,t56, or a 700r4. I don't know where you get your info from. But who cares, you have a flippin sweet car and so does this guy.

Go to Malletts web site. Or, go to SolsticeLSX web site where owners of a Solstice with a LS2 V8 still have the original 5 speed talk about it. Or, belong to a Solstice/Sky club like I do and see them in person. If I were doing the conversion to my car, I would add the T56, but it is not required. My point was, the stock transmission and rearend is SO STRONG it can take the power of the LS2. Next time, do a search before correcting someone, maybe???

Sorry, I do stand corrected. I have a lot of experience with Vettes and Fbodys but not the Kappa platform though I admire them very much. I assumed that you would need a trans from the original LSx because when modifying many V6 Fbodys and doing a motor swap it is required to swap one of those 3 transmissions into the car at the same time, that or heavily modifying the old trans to fit. Again, Sorry for my assumptions.

We actually have the same turbo. Borg Warner K04. You have more displacement, but I have RWD, so it's pretty dead even between the two cars. Those MS3's are quick man.

i called it off a wee bit late, nor was this a great run. I'm getting a dash hawk to get more accurate times. Also, based off my 1/4 time slips and some rough calculations with 60' times, I get about 5.0 at the track.

I have my co-worker that owns one in green, her Sky looks pretty good next to my S2000, much more muscular while my S2k is more classic lines, gotta admit i like the Sky overall design, is pretty good, she has the turbo version and i'll take for a spin some time next week maybe ... hope it does have some punch and good driving experience i wouldn't ever trade my S2k for a Sky but Sky's look sweet!

Yes, I know your credit is different than mine and probably on the better, but I couldnt tell what accessories you have in your car or anything but fully loaded one of those is $32,000. my accessories are: Chrome rims, Black on Black leather, upgraded monsoon stereo. I passed on the spoiler, mud guards, xm, and all the other meaningless stuff. total cost was in the 31 range. My payments are 647. My loan is short, so yours will most likely be less. Less than 400 however.....i doubt without a decent downpayment.
