@comebackata2 Nvidia Tegra 2 chip devices (like the LG Optimus 2x) can run games like "dungeon defenders" smoothly, the game which is said to have Console quality visuals, while Samsung is claiming that the Mali-400 will be superior to the Tegra 2 chip, so go figure.
I hope they put it in the new Nexus phone. That would at least partially make up for choosing Samsung as the builder for the new phone and maybe explain why Google switched from HTC (which is greatly superior in terms of building quality in my opinion) to Samsung.
@Muscleduck if they make a google experience phone with this chip in it and a 4 inch samoled I will be the first person in line to get it... I'll be that guy. Imagine it.... 1080p recording on a 12MP camera from nokiaorsumshit, an orion processor clocked at 1ghz but we can oc it too 2ghz... and the original body and colour scheme of the nexus one with the same trackball except they fit the 4incher without making it bigger. It would just be called NEXUS... mandatory caps lock.
Is it going to be clocked at 1GHz or are they going to clock it a bit higher for Galaxy S2, considering Qualcomm wants to clock A9 at 1.5GHz and ST-Ericsson wants 1.2GHz.
Incredible how powerful these mobile devices are becoming.
@Vitruviux They wouldn't confirm anything further on clock speed. But my guess is according to the spec, all Cortex-A9 processors can be made to go up to 2Ghz if that speed is required by the specific application you want to use it in.
@Drudicta I couldn't film an interview with the Samsung representatives, because everything around this processor is very secretive obviously, as Samsung may be preparing to use it in a whole range of products, as I speculate, probably the next Galaxy S, Tab, could be in their HDTVs, ARM Powered Google TV type set-top-boxes and more.
@Muscleduck They didnt!xD they used ti omap! xP
