I've done the whole bike together with my dad.. We stripped it down to the bare frame, got it painted at a pro painter to get a decent result.. And then we assembled it, connected the electric parts and so on in like 10 hours and tested it..

And all of a sudden it was much more fun to drive :D.. The torque of it is MUCH stronger than the 50cc.. And of course the top speed is quite a bit higher too.. With my gearing it was about 100 km/h.. :)

I mounted a V8 speed source exhaust on it ! :)..

And yes, i swapped the 50cc out with a 124cc engine my self.. Piece of cake !..

Do you know the weight of your bike? I'm thinking of doing a future engine-swap on my Honda C70 with a Lifan. The motor mounts fit perfectly on it. Just wrench n' go :)

be aware that the honda c70 engine has a 6v alternator and the lifan motor probably has a 12v alternator in it, you may blow all the electrics!!!!

Yeah, my 81' was the last year of the 6 volt electrical system. It wouldn't be too hard putting the wiring harness from an 82'+. The problem is finding one!

Heey dude..

Yeah, I just swapped engines.. Peace of cake... Only a few, small modifications such as drill out one of the holes in the engine. It was 10mm, i needed 11mm.. So as you can hear, nothing serious.. And that engine is nice ! :D
