Buttercup was originally intended to be a "plump and pleasing person". That quote is taken from the script of the show. That doesn't mean she has to be plump.

i played little buttercup in a huge production last year and tbh i am very slim and not fat, i suppose anyone can play the role as long as you can pull off her charm:D
