  • @Gamester81 i've been to that store millions of times

  • @Gamester81 I believe it was in the Gulf War.

  • @davidsstilltippin That guy is wrong lol, the Game Boy survived the explosion in the GULF war.

  • @davidsstilltippin he stepped on a landmine and the soldier died but the gameboy still works

  • @dino988 no the barracks where bombed

  • @itsdarkoutside87 oh ok..i was told a lie lol but either or the gameboy is probably most durable gaming device

  • Dammit i live the uk still...

  • I have the Zelda DS

  • @Iocoy can you give me a siye to find it on?

  • @legendofzeldafanboy I checked on ebay.com and it was from about $80 to $400. So you might find a good deal sometime on eBay. I got mine when it first came out, in about holiday season 2007.

  • @Iocoy i found one on ebay for 41.00 thinking about it thanks

  • @MastrChief07 Yeah I also wish they had more retro stuff. No love for the NES, SNES, or N64. All the love was towards the Gameboy line. Ah well.

  • Looks like a wicked store John! infact i'd love to go there myself, as i don't think we even have one here in england and it looks like you and Dommiesan had a great time. great video man :)

  • @Chipsturs Thanks James. Yeah NY is an incredible city.

  • @flynnz Yeah for sure bro do it. It's a fun store.

  • Dommies voice is totally different to how I imagined he'd look.

  • @ScrewAttackEurope lol I know what you mean. I thought the same thing.

  • @Gamester81 :D You must be otne of the few people to go there and instead of wowing at the museum part, you're going "got it" "got it" got it" "need it" "got it" :D

  • This is the best video tour of the Nintendo World Store that I've watched. I really envy that I can't go there and see it for myself. :( Nintendo is such a great company with a great story... :)

  • Ah man so familiar! I miss going to NYC like once a month, Its always fun to visit.

    Store Employee: *presses mysterious button*

Gamester81: "WHAT!? It was an honest question!"

  • wow eres dichoso a ir a nintendo world puedes subir mas videos de nintendo world ¿ pero graba mas para conocer bien el mondo de nintendo va sigue asi.

  • You should have passed by the Gamestop on Broadway and 33rd Street. It's the biggest one in the world. Flagship store.

  • @PhyA52 We did. It was pretty big.

  • @dommiesan

awww crap. I must have been off that day. That's where I work. Would have been nice to meet you guys.

  • @PhyA52 lol yeah that'd would have been cool. I talked to a kinda large set guy with brown hair, and a chick down stairs that had long dark hair. Too bad we missed you.

  • @PhyA52 Yeah Dommie and I did visit that one I think. I forgot to take video of it though. Isn't it two story?

  • @Gamester81 Gosh, I have to go to that Gamestop and bring 1,000 with me

  • For a Nintendo World Store it doesn't seem very big does it?

  • I went there like 4 years ago, it was awesome, specially cause it was raining and it was oddly cozy in there.

  • dame i wish i could go there

  • The train you guys took looks like the inside of a commuter caltrain here in california..

  • Very cool, I will be there June 15th for the press conference showing w/ friends.

  • @PeteDorr Awesome, hope you have a good time there.

  • Last time I went(in February 2010) they wouldn't let me film in there. I love the Gulf War GB.WEre they still selling those massive 8 bit wall clings?Next time your in the area John let me know. There's some great retro and import stores to visit as well.

"So I can Pikachu...." Don't quit your day job John LOL!

  • @SplatterTrigger Yeah for sure I'll let you know next time I'm in the area. Yeah they had those huge wall clings (kinda like Fatheads), but they were selling for like $75...way too much.

  • @SplatterTrigger plz if you know some places to go in NY tell I'll apreciate it

  • I assume you will have one of those giant DS XLs in your house some day.

  • what do you do for a living because u can buy expensive old stuff

  • Were you born in '81 Gamster? And I was always wondering, what's your real name?

  • @TAz69x Yeah I was born in 81. My real name is John. =)

  • I didn't know Nintendo was a card company making Hanafuda cards, KRAZY!!!

  • The Nintendo World Store was ok, one of the things that REALLY annoyed me about the store was the complete lack of Kirby and StarFox related merchandise or items.

  • @crazyfooInc They had cool Kirby stuffed animals when we were there. They may have had a Kirby shirt too. No Star Fox to be found though.

  • Nice video but had to stop watching half way as dont want to see any Mario G 2 footage as its not out here yet and dont want to ruin seeing it on YouTube ha ha

  • Fuck I live on Long Island. I would have gone!!

  • @RetroGamerr1991 Dude I know my grandparents went without me and went to the lego and saw the nintendo store.

  • What's crazy is for years I used to walk past this store to goto work and not once have I ever stepped into this store. I've seen it go from a Pokemon Center to the Nintendo World. Perhaps subconsciously I have a strong disdain for Pokemon. lol

  • Were they selling any retro stuff, or just keeping it on display?

  • I've been there so many times, and I love it there. But If you look very closely, the "damaged" gameboy is fake. Right under the screen there is a small, perfectly good looking piece of smooth, brown, shiney plastic. hard to see in this vid, but i'm being honest.

  • @MrGoomba909 I noticed that also - I think they replaced the screen. Honestly, I don't think an LCD screen would survive any kind of heat like that. Especially those super-cheap 1st gen Game Boy's. But it is possible that the rest of the guts were original. Those PCBs are actually quite tough.

  • @dommiesan Very true. but, they should've at least put a little effort into making that part real. Ah, whatever. lets just enjoy nintendo world for what it is, real or fake Damaged Gameboy.

  • Nice trip John! I have to visit Nintendo World NY someday :)

  • You know, I'v been to NYC many times and only recently knew this place exsisted. I finally went there a couple months ago.

  • How much was one of those Final Fantasy special edition DS's?

  • awesome the nintendo world store is only like an hour and a half from me...one of these days i'll check it out!!!!!!

  • Pretty happy I got one of those Final Fantasy DSs, great to see them all together.

Great video! If I ever go to NYC, i Will be sure to check it our.

  • the gulf war one is fake it is a rubber skin

  • @danyesvids if the unit was burned, why is the screen perfect? what a joke. they can;t fool new yorkers, only tourists.

  • only 6 mins??? I NEEEEEEED MORE

  • Looks like it was a fun time.

  • I go to Nintendo of America a lot. It sounds like it would be cool, but its really not.

  • I heard these guys almost went down.

  • Did you two suck each other off after the trip?

  • @Brosuke do u often think of gay things to say says something about u

  • wow, what is it like? I heard they have stuff that is exclusive to the store!

  • Wow, never seen dommie, people never look like you expect them too, he looked nervous of being on the cam there :o) Cool store there, so envious :o)

  • @RetroGamerVX Nah, not nervous. It was a long, hot day though and I was a bit exhausted having found out that a good friend of mine passed away unexpectedly that morning.

  • @dommiesan Ahh, that would explain it, sorry to hear that :o(

  • i live by nyc and never new there was a nintendo store!

  • Yikes, awesome store. The Tanuki Mario shirt! Want!

  • Glad you enjoyed my hometown!

  • cool place..

  • I'd love to have that Nintendo Monopoly :)

  • why there's no gameboy micro in the display?

  • Nice video, Gamester. That place looks friggin sweet! Definitely have to check it out if I ever make it to NYC.

Did you get to see the Nintendo Advanced Video System? It was the prototype model for, what was supposed to be, the US release of the Famicom back in '85. I'd read or heard it was there, just wondering if it was true.

Thanks, man! Can't wait to see the next review!! =)

  • you guys where probably bummed about how small the place is lmao

  • @NOOBEPICASSO It's not that small...it's two floors.

  • @xdarnokx well maybe for you but in my opinion it was definitely not what I expected. I go there about 2 times per month... just saying

  • @NOOBEPICASSO Well of course you're going to think it's small if you go twice a month lol, I live in NYC too, but I definitely don't go that often.

  • @NOOBEPICASSO Meh, it's not that small - just somewhat sparsely stocked. The "museum" could have been better - would have loved to see a Virtual Boy display.

We did go into an epic GameStop somewhere around 34th and 6th. We didn't film it, but it was probably the biggest GameStop either of us had seen.

  • @dommiesan oh really? 34th and 6th huh... I guess ill look it up

P.s. if your an obsessed nintendo fan like I am you should definitely stop by " Video Games New York"

  • @NOOBEPICASSO Yeah, the GameStop was somewhere right around there - a block or 2 from Penn Station.

Video Games NY was on my list, but we didn't have that much time and it's alllll the way down in lower Manhattan if I'm not mistaken and Nintendo World was uptown.

If we had more time I would've liked to go there and I also had an idea of filming a parody of the Mike Tyson's Punch Out password sequence where Little Mac jogs behind the trainer riding a bike with NYC in the background.

  • great video!! this looks like an awesome place :)

    thanks for sharing!!

  • Awesome Ill love to go to Nintendo World looks amazing thanks for posting!

  • I still think it's cool they let people film in there. So many places get all paranoid about that these days. So how many millions did you guys spend there? :D

  • Very cool! Thank you Gamester

  • that nintendo store didnt look too exciting. enjoyed the vid an seeing the place but the place itself seems fairly dull looking.

  • I have been there before great store I love how they sell more then just video games :D

  • Fun times!

  • Pretty cool store. I've only been able to make it out there once.

  • I was just there last month! Awesome place!

  • Dommiesan revealed! Sweet video man.

  • nice man did you meet up with splattertrigger or steph2def????

  • at 5:50 what are those, NES controllers looking things? awesome video.

  • you rock !

  • Wish we had these places in England.. Oh well. Another good video, keep up the great work :)

  • 3rd

  • when i come to the US next year this is gonna be my first place to go! looks great gamester

  • Lived in NJ for 6 years and worked in NYC for 3. I really miss NYC. Next time i'm there i need ti check out Nintendo World. Thanks for the look.
