  • If someone grabs you from behind an headbutt in 100 times better than this fancy lolkido moves..if someone really wants to grab you..you can't escape so easily you have to hit him to breake his hold and escape....hey isn't this the same guy that has his dojo in his livingroom??ok now i understand...

  • One thing I love about Aikido is that its not about extreme violence, its just being able to do what needs to be done and then being able to walk away.

  • @virobody Você deve treinar ou ser fã de jiu-jitsu...

  • you cant do all those move in an actual fight

  • @zexion8890 thousands of years of tradition disagrees with you

  • Check the Komyokan Dojo, and ask that balloon how many times he has been beat by no marks !

  • I have noticed that most martial artists loose when in fight situations, they crumble under pressure against boxers and street fighters.

Fighters are born not made. The best thing to do is get as fit as poss. , learn a few dirty moves in order to escape ,learn to be aware of potential danger, and try not to be a hero.

  • @Chris66able You obviously havnt seen a good martial arts fight.

  • I Manage a Pub, quite a rough pub in a lower working class area. MMA is very popular in my area. There are quite alot of fight trained guys, some at national level, and 1 or 2 World title holders in various martial arts who live in the same region. I trained in Kung Fu originally , I have since trained with accomplished street fighters, I have a bit of a rep for being able to deal with most of the trouble in my bar, I am 45.

  • @Chris66able Just because it looks effortless does not mean it was done without effort.

By blending with your opponents attack and using proper mechanics, the human body can easily utilize these techniques in actual combat.

Inb4 karate kid chris makes another unfounded claim.

  • @Chris66able I suspect if you had Sensei Boaz practice technique on you, you might change your tune. But either way, what good does it do to come on and talk smack about other peoples stuff. If you have been studying for that long, great. Film it and prove its worth, or\therwise shut your mouth and respect others arts.

  • I can tell that you are an idiot! the reason why we are told how to "fall" is because this a martial art,in other words (ART OF KILLING) dumb ass.when one applies the techniques on a real opponent he is going down with a couple of broken bones.if we get to kill each other in practice;how long do you think we are gonna last? i know you are one of those guys that go around picking fights an get beat up! PUNKS JUMP UP TO GET BEAT DOWN!!!!!

  • In theory a great art, in practice a load of shit ! Like most of these idiots their systems work on students because they allow themselves to be thrown. Notice how they ALLWAY teach how to defend against a move that hardly anyone would ever use. This is because most instructors were bullied, or natural victims when they were younger, so they learn a martial art to defend themselves. and tend to think it makes up for a lack of real life combat situations !

  • @Chris66able You are an ignorant piece of shit! Aikido is a great art and the base of all combat situations and self defense systems flow perfectly in real life!!!

  • @Chris66able i would like to know if you ever done any M A ?i used to do Aikido and stilll would if there was a club near, my old instuctor was amazing in action you cant really do Aikido in an real life situ when your training ,you would end up dislocating breaking and strain your student into pieces.is all about joint manipulation and balance not power and brute force if you want that go do sumo or arm wresling, done with force and speed aikido is deadly!you sound a rite dumb ass?

  • Muy bueno, siempre explica con claridad y ejecuta las técnicas de manera sensilla

  • yes!! sucesful troll!

  • yyyaaaa!!!!!

  • @xaebion Haha, I'd like to see you try. People forget that these videos and demonstrations are exactly that, demonstrations. If forced (and only if forced. Aikido was built from purely self-defence, no aggression at all), any Aikidoka can turn it up and overwhelm most attackers (depending on the skill of the person. Aikido masters can take on large groups of people like 7 or 8 without breaking a sweat).

  • @39Mick0tf2 i totally agree with you. if the guy who whishes to fight sensei Boaz, my god id fly from ireland over to see it, but it would probably be a total waste of money because it probably wouldnt last 5 mins. watch this guys videos and i have to admit it he is very good. wish more where like him in the dojo

  • What people forget is that aikido comes from sword culture and in sword culture it makes sence to grab the wrists to prevent the sword draw and thus prevent ones one death....so it is realistic in the oridginal context and actually everything shown here can be done from almost any rear based grabs and holds (like bearhug, standing rear naked, etc)

  • @xaebion Why would any Aikidoka want a "real fight" ? What a moron !

  • @erikthered11

it sadden's me to see comments like xaebon's. I don't get why so many people need to vent off such aggression. I mean why the need to tell the world how superior one thinks one is? I think the need to do so stems from an underlying psychological desire to assert dominance.

  • @TheMimeGogo Actually I think it's an emotional overcompensation for something physically under-developed.

  • @erikthered11

I great artist would learn and have respect for all types of fighting arts. So these are people we all need to look out for. I have studyed other art and aikido is wonderful. no other style has gotton me so tired.

  • Gary is the best by Far! Reconize People!! Gary rulez!! Wish ur school was in NY. I would be going to it!

  • This is really good! I can see every step from beginning to end! Right now I'm a brown belt soon to be with a stripe, which I'm really excited about! LOL!

The only thing different that we do is that, the hand, at the moment of taking the uke down to the ground, we pin it along with our hips and then move in the circle kipping them really tight with our movement; it's really good to control an unstable uke.

  • What flavor of aikido are these expert village videos? Iwama?

  • Thanks so much for doing it slowly so we can learn . Im a huge fan of Aikido , but a begginer so its perfect for me. Thank you and peace.

  • Hi sensei. Good video! What kind of tatame are you using in this video? I'm looking for an alternative for the expensive rubber made tatame we often find here in Brazil. Thanks!

  • Excellent video =) Note that when being held from behind, you can't always lift up if your uke is being a moron, so what you can do is turn your center (or your hips) sideways before anything, and this puts your directly in the position of the first suburi.

  • what is the instructers name and where does he teach?

  • My name is Gary Boaz and I'm in Kansas City. Thanks for asking. Have a good day!

  • @thor7600 yes i would like to know that myself
