Thanks Serpoo for this awesome compilation! I'm a big Cutie Honey fan so I really enjoyed seeing all the different OP/song renditions in one long video. My favorite variations have to be those by Salia (Flash), Mayukiss (OVA Series 2) and Les 5-4-3-2-1 (OVA Series 1). I'm not a big fan of Koda Kumi's movie theme nor Wild San-Nin Musume's "Cutie Honey The Live" TV series. Too bad Animetal Lady's rock version or some of the trance/techno versions weren't used.

Personally I like better the original concept of Go Nagai, after all one of his trademarks is the ecchi elements in his series, just watch Devilman or any of the Mazinger series in one moment or another he slips in some fanservice or more evident ecchi.

Will you believe me if I tell you the author of Cutie Honey also made Devilman, Violence Jack and range of robot shows such as Mazinger, Grendizer, Koutetsu Jeeg, partly Getter Robo etc? I didn't believe it the first time either. Some of the stuff you read in Violence Jack will leave you traumatized for life.

The television version's actress doesn't do anything for me. The original cartoon, the 1993 OVA, and the movie, that to me is the real thing!

Out of all of those adaptations, only 2 of them were brought to North America, New Cutey Honey from ADV & the live-action film from Bandai. There had been hints back in 08 that FUNimation picked up Re: Cutie Honey due to them removing it from torrent sites and other company reps claiming at cons that they got it but nothing ever came of that and i bet it was Toei (and/or Gainax if involved) being dicks again and denying them the license at the last minute which makes them idiots as usual.
The Only One i liked was the 1997 opening because its not peverted and everything seems in sync with the sound and animation it dose look retro which gives it the X Factor
But the series is supposed to be perverted. That's like saying you'd like Dragon Ball for its poetic representation of war, and not because of the Hulk Hogan-esque battles.

I felt the same way about the live action Sailor Moon when I saw it, with the ONLY exception being the story arc about Sailor Mercury being turned to evil.
The first episode is stupid, but it seems that the makers realised this as the rest of the series is superb. By episode 5 I was hooked and couldn't wait to see the rest, and they didn't disappoint.
As a shojo fan I really like cutie honey flash. But I also like the opening for re: cutie honey. Series-wise, I like all except for shin cutie honey. As someone who is completely uninterested in Honey's body, it doesn't appeal to me. I like the other non-shojo versions because they're amusing.
Both the original series and Cutey Honey Flash were animated by Toei Doga. That's the same studio that did Sailor Moon. They also worked on Re: Cutie Honey, and handled the video release.

The one with the best intro images are the openings of New Cutie Honey (Specially 2nd)
The one with the best music is Honey Flash "but i also like koda kumi's version just this one sounds more beating" ;)
and the one with the best singer voice is Re Cutei Honey (koda kumi)
Mixing this 3 things would do one big favorite for me xD

Yeah, the live action Sailor isn't all that great to tell you the truth. Sailor Mercury became Dark Mercury due to Zoisite turning her evil.
