The alpha had some gameplay kinks to work out, but I'd still put it above Crysis 2's COD clone MP.

That being said, CE3 is probably way more flexible and capable than Frostbite 2, but idc. Battlefield 3 is a better game than Crysis 2 as it stands so far, but CE3 may be the better engine. Who cares? The engine is free and available to all now. We have the power to make a better game than both combined.

Actually, am I the only one tired of all this "New super-duper parralax shit", when the gameplay actually doesn't change for years? I mean, I played minecraft and dwarf fortress a few days ago, and you now - it was way more interesting, then all recent FPS. And yes, there is NO HDR in minecraft and DF doesn't even have "graphics".

P.S. I played Crysis, Crysis 2, and i have a nVidia 560 TI on board, so no "you-cant-afford-a-fast-PC" trolling, plz ;-)

(The 6990 is 2 6970 cards in 1 physical card) A good card for gaming would be the 6970, 6950, 6870, or 6850. I personally have the 5770. But since the 6000 series is out, stick with a 68xx or 69xx series card. You could choose an Nvidia card but I'm not as familiar with their cards.

Ну, что ж, неплохо.. Но даже в этом трейлере хорошо заметны угловатости геометрии, не покрытые тесселяцией, и не улучшенные сами по себе. Так же заметны довольно размытые текстуры фолиажа из все таких же редких спрайтов, а эффекты отражений в реальном времени и рендер полутеней визуальное восприятие сильно не изменяют.
