  • This is kind of my secret obsession, none of my friends understand why I love this show SO MUCH! I am only 15, but i absolutely love the classic shows. Joe is my favorite, he is so cute, and he is so hot tempered! lol! I wish they still showed good shows like this now a days. I cant even watch the so called "reality" shows now, i have been spoiled watching the good old classics! My family make fun of me for loving them so much, but I dont care, as long as i get to watch my Cartwrite boys! :)

  • My dad thinks i'm weird. He grew up watching Bonanza, idolised Joe, and here i am 21, and i absolutely LOVE JOE!!!!

  • @6893455b ,

Well join the rest of us....but who really cares were not harming anyone.

My family thinks I nuts too because of my obsession with Pernell but they are use to it by now seeing how I have been obsessed with him since I was little and I'm sure I will be for the rest of my life

  • does anyone know where i can get this on dvd all 14 seasons

  • Hey! Ha, ha! Hoss sure enough rang Adam's bell, didn't he!! Great balls of fire!!

  • Wow Joe and Adam's relationship certainly does grow in the later seasons!! In this scene you'd think they hate each other but after watching 'My brother's keeper" you know they love each other!! Thanks for the post!

  • @MiniSpyNoel ,

This is from the very first episode. The Characters have yet to be defined. Adam in the first season seems sort of cold I'm happy they softened him up just a bit but still kept the hard edges

  • Lol I Love Adam too!!

  • i'm 19 now and i've watched bonanza since i was a little kid. i spent more time with hoss, adam and joe than i did with my own brothers. haha not really. but it was a lot. i absolutely love this show and always wished it could've been real. :) thanks for posting.

  • @DumasForever53 ,

I love when I hear from the young ones such as you, it is so nice to know this wonderful show is touching the younger people it keeps it alive. Keep watching Bonanza

  • Hey there all you fellow Bonanzians!! The "COPYRIGHT POLICE" are out in force removing Bonanza clips and shows from the net. I want to thank you "posters" for your wonderful work and tell you how much pleasure you`ve given to this old gal, I sure hope we can hang on to these for a long time yet. But in case we can`t...Happy Trails and hope to see you on the horizon!! It`s been a great ride!!

  • @AdamCartwrightILoveU I´m not sure if I´d like to watch those eps. without Adam. Actually, when I see one where he doesn´t appear, I feel like something is missing, no matter how interesting it is. What I know for sure is that every time I watch episodes like The Ride where Adam is siiting at the station and his hat over his eyes, I´d like to be like Jeff Daniels in The purple rose of Cairo, but instead of walking off the screen, I´d walk into, come up to Adam and kiss those gorgeous lips!!!

  • @imbodenl ,

Sorry it took me so long to get back to you, sometimes my channel gets pretty busy, but I always get back to those who leave me messages or comments.

Watching the later episodes are different indeed, but the show was so good and b y not watching past season 6 your really short changing yourself.

It took me a bit to start watching them again after so many years but I have a little trick and it seems to work for me. I just set my mind that Adam is there but out on a mission

  • @imbodenl Hey y`all!! Great news!! All 14 seasons of Bonanza are now available from powerdvdclassics. com!

They are supposed to be excellent quality and non-regional, (meaning they play on 99% of dvd players including play station & xbox.) They are also on sale right now. Over 300 episodes for around $120,00 US. Go get `em while supplies last!! Oh, and, do watch all of them. The last 8 seasons are just as good as the first 6 tho I also missed Adam.

  • I got the impression that many of you started watching Bonanza from season 3, not from the very beginning of the show. I agree with you all about Pa and the boys being very apart from what they used to be in later seasons, but it was just in this pilot episode, not in the rest of the season. Actually, there are many memorable episodes in it. And although I love how Adam looks in black, he looks so young and gorgeous in this first season that I just can´t stop watching it over and over.

  • @imbodenl ,

I can not speak for anyone else but I grew up watching this show and I have seen every episode . Adam as sort of cold in the first few episodes but still so sexy. I love his cold hard stare but I rather have him just a wee bit softer like from season 3 and on.but in the end and truth be told I would take Adam [ Pernell ] any way I can get him.

  • @AdamCartwrightILoveU I didn´t grow up watching Bonanza. Actually, I started watching the show in reruns on cable television some months ago, but i´ve only watched eps with Adam in them because everytime eps without him should be aired, the station starts airing the show from season 1 again, but as I´m not interested in watching eps without Adam, that makes me so happy.!!!! Smiles from Chile

  • @imbodenl ,

They tend to go right back to season 1 after airing season 6 because seasons 1 thru 6 are the most requested , that alone proves just how wonderful Pernell was.Although I do watch the later seasons It feels different and you can so feel the absence of Adam, they show was still very good but better with Adam.

  • If you're used to watching only the later eps, say from season 3 onwards, you might think this is some awkward Bonanza parody. Boisterous Pa with jingling spurs... a universe apart from the jovial wise father... the brothers' unsavory fight has nothing of the elegance of their bickering in later episodes. I think they changed the concept after the first or second season? Very interesting upload! Thanks a lot.

  • @blessall4ever , They were indeed so very different in the first season. They ade Adam seem so cold and ruthless I for one am very glad they soften him up just a bit but kept the rough edges with him.

  • @AdamCartwrightILoveU Even his rough edges were polished smooth. I'll always remember him as the man in Black with the elegant moves. The Ride is one of my favorite eps, there he was truly greatly himself.

  • Aww! That's nice. Adam and Little Joe ALMOST hugged. :)

  • @CherryCokeLove , Almost.. Adam was a bit too mean in this first episode I feel sorry for Little Joe in this episode , Adam hit him so hard

  • "Fire and Brimstone"....lol These early Cartwrights are almost unrecognizable from the ones in the later episodes. I love this clip.

  • @nyspats , It's funny you said that because I have been watching some of the first season for like the millonth time and I was thinking the very same thing. Adam was so much harder almost cold at times in the first season.Like this episode as much as I truly love Adam I feel he was rather mean to Little Joe , why did he have to hit him that hard.oh well Im glad threy kept his edge but soften him up just a bit , still love him though.
