We don't really consider ourselves a "punk" band, in the Green Day way (I for example idolise QOTSA, Nirvana and The Doors) we just like to play it aggressively, makes for a good upbeat set, and you should never ever play a song in the original way it was played, you should put your own interpretation on it - that's what makes it a cover.
I'm not going to respond to the guys who just put "bollocks"; I can't be bothered to waste my time on people like that...
I will like to thank the other people though. Thoughtful criticism, I like that, I think it will allow us to grow as a band, but I will like defend ourselves a little... ok, at that point we'd had only been playing together as a band for about two months and, we were nervous, it was like our third gig and was a step-up in crowd size terms, you know 10-15 people to 200 odd
