I really wish Jimi Hendrix's childhood could have been that idyllic (i.e. having enough money to take a stroll with a slice of pizza and a bottle of soda whenever he wanted to).
what`s really funny is that JIMI DRANK COCA COLA-NOT PEPSI-coca cola even had pictures of him in thier ads at the time-jimi was a huge coke endorser-i bet you can`t find a picture of him with a pepsi-but there are many of him with a coke-so much for truth in advertising!! lol!!!
@chewiebrothaman not true! he started playing ukelele with one string when he was around like 9mor 10 years old. he got his first real guitar(acoustic) when he was 14. then when he turned like 17 or something like that his dad bought him a used supro ozark electric guitatr
Pretty stupid how they have a right-handed tele instead of a strat. Although he used a right handed strat strung for a lefty, but still, if you're going to make a commercial..get it right.
That's Jakob Dylan's Telecaster, not a Stratocaster (which was introduced in 1954, when Jimi was 12), that he's looking at. And speaking of Telecasters, Jakob didn't have one until he was in high school (he also had Les Pauls and C.F. Martins under his radar as well, and unfortunately, he was born in 1969, and like you didn't know, he was Bob Dylan's son, the youngest of his four children with ex-wife Sara Lowndes-Dylan.
@inevitablesushi In fact, -according to Curtis Knight- his first guitar was a gift from his uncle. And as far as I know it was an acoustic guitar which was perfect to be used as a flowerpot.
Jimi used Right-Handed Guitars strung RIGHT HANDED.
He just turned them Upside-Down & played 'em like that.
It was THAT simple peoples, peoples, peoples.

the first guitar jimi played was a duo sonic
slashy04 2 years ago
when jimi hendrix was 11, it would have been the year before the strat was introduced. so this would have been more acurate.

Well, it's not a strat...
