i think some of these people spend too much time on their YouTube accounts though, and need a reality check. if you block everyone who doesn't kiss your ass and are constantly monitoring your 400 subscriber channel, maybe it's time you started over anyway.

They have it all covered. If you are black, they can delete you. If you are Christian, Atheist, and don't like you, whatever.

me and some other users put together several videos in an effort to protect children from child pervs. said pervs did a lot of blocking and some of our accounts were suspended and videos were removed. reviews never did happen and they are free to run rampant. it's a who can block who quicker war.

I'm not sure whether I was reinstated because of your support and the support of others, or because I finally got in touch with them yesterday and I convinced them that the DMCA against me was bogus--or whether it was a combination of my letter and the support I received from others. YouTube is anything but transparent.

TheMaskedAnalyst's suspension bugs me. The outcry has been fairly silent and I can't think of anyone who deserves the community's support more than he does. He sticks up for people who have gotten the boot all the time.

As far as the rest of what you're saying, it's my understanding that there would be legal liability issues if Google were to actively communicate about suspensions. While I still think they could do more in terms of customer service, there is some method behind the madness.

If they give their reasons publicly there would be assumptions by some that there should also be some kind of mechanism in place to argue against them. That would open up a whole can of worms for YT. IMHO I believe that their attitude is " .. It's our company! We answer to no one! If you don't like it go somewhere else!" And they would be right.

When it comes down to it YT/Google is a company, not a government. Recourse in tort law is granted contractually. That TOS that you don't read and click on gives them a great deal of power to act and not have to justify their actions. It's the cost of doing business.

It would be nice if they had a levels suspension. lv 1 suspension: suspend video uploading, lv 2 removal of all videos, lv 3 remove mail/pm function for non-friends, and lv 4 complete suspension, lv 5 permanent suspension. Kind-of like a message board, but it probably would be easier for them to just display the reason why on the channel.

I can understand how they can't know though, YT is so big now there probably is over 10k users per help employee.
