I have no idea of what that symbol is (I've never even been to Detroit), but that symbol gets me thinking of Devil's night: I really wish Detroit could come back. But it won't happen unless it's people make it happen.
@apocyldoomer google; who started NAFTA.. or wiki search NAFTA, learn details of who drafted it and who supported it, how long was it in the works before it made it to clintons desk. How long was clinton in office before he signed it. check which party was more for it than the other, also, which president signed CAFTA, central american free trade agreement.
Detroit is NOT the only shithole, Detroit will NEVER come back of course, and, America, will NEVER come back either, plenty of other cities with abandoned factories..thanks to CLINTON who SIGNED the NAFTA agreement, funny how the dirty "occupiers" NEVER MENTION NAFTA..on and on it goes. Sadly, America the EMPIRE is finished, a myriad of issues not just one..nice work though macil..there are plenty of abandoned factories where I live just too dangerous a hood to do by myself
@ELECTRICCLOCK I sadly feel inclined to agree. It could have been truly a magnificent metropolis in modern times but it was cut down in its prime by ignorance, crime and horrible management.
Quick question, what place did you get busted at and what was the reason on the ticket? I got busted second time over at the station and I'm just wondering since you said you got your charges dropped haha
@hoopdancer417 We did not spend any time in jail. It was more of a put your hands on the hood of the car while we frisk you, then write you all a ticket kind of deal. Then a few weeks later we had to appear in court. Something I never want to do again. I'm not a huge fan of jury duty because just being a court room makes me nervous, so being the guy who's in trouble was absolutely terrifying.
@Macil2018 Further more, the judge was actually very nice, but a little skeptical as to why we were in the train station at 1:00 AM in the morning. Some sample photographs I brought with me though backed me up in trying to explain to her the effects increasing exposure time on a camera can have to a picture when taking pictures at night or in absolute darkness. So she let us off easy. She actually even suggested legal places similar to take pictures if we still wanted to do this as a hobby.
Isn't the former Mayor of Detroit in Prison ??? Urban decay, caused by crooked poltiicians ... who only care about padding their own pockets ...and the hell with the residents !
amazing pictures! i cant get enough of urban decay, got into a mine the other weekend. have to travel to find anything good, and even then dont always want to risk it. worth it though.
thanx Macil2018 yea i live in the area. its maybe a good 25 min drive to Detroit. i was gonna check out this school thats closed down at Ash and 15th street. not sure if its boarded up by now tho. but it shows it on Google maps as being boarded down. i hope its not im lookin forward to going to the school this Saturday. :D
Did you have a city in mind? I live in the Detroit area so its really the only place I'm familiar with. So if you happen to be in the Detroit area the only places I can recommend are the Broderick Building, Whitney Building, Packard Plant and Michigan Central Station. Like I posted in my video, I was ticketed for criminal trespassing when visiting some of those sites, and many of them aren't much more safe than they are legal to explore. Use caution and common sense. Stay safe and enjoy. =)

@respond2cowards Just look at any major city in Africa and see how run down they are, I think this point has been proven

I heard theres alot of wild dogs in these ruined areas of the city, I would be careful walking around or carry a stun gun or something

Isn't this music from Lighthouse at Lyril's temple?

So well done... I feel like I can so easily imagine the bustle and life that once flowed through these buildings.
Is Detroit poised to make a comeback?
