He was angry at the Slovenian magazine called Mladina for publishing some articles critical of Serbia. He asked for a vote authorizing the use of the JNA to go into Slovenia and crack down on Mladina. but he only got 4 of the 5 votes in the state council that he needed.

Since you are so interested in, you should study why US was scared of what was to happen in Europe in 1992 and how they manipulated tensions in Yugoslavia, pulled all the important strings from 1992-2000 for their own geostrategic interests. Anyone who has doubts about Kosovo being Albanian...just read the Wikipedia article called "Demographics of kosovo" or go to archive,org and search "Near East". The evidence is overwhelming that Kosovo has been 65-90% Albanian speaking since 1750.
Once Yugoslavia started to breakup there was no way to stop Kosovo Albanians from wanting independence...and maybe eventual union with Albania.
