This annoyed the hell out of me because I got the question wrong and then i didn't get chet so I had to go have to get chet. OMG.Then I had to get all the pine chops to get the bird in the archades central thing. sandalwood chop took like 30 minutes to get. but it was funny when imperials where like "you speak cockatrice?"

There is an easier way to catch this cockatrice! After you scare it into the courtyard, WALK up to it while it's passing the pillars. Don't run, WALK.

You get different awards as you find each of them. Then, at the end, go back to the Normad Village in the Giza Plains during the Dry where they've all gathered and have a chat with them :). Oh, and don't forget to talk to the girl who looks after them there.

THANK YOU so much for posting this video; I was ready to give up on finishing this side quest because I couldn't catch that stupid bird. I tried and tried after reading how to do it and I still couldn't catch it, but on only my third try after watching your video I finally caught the stupid thing!!! Yay!! :-)

There's a secret area which can only be accessed to if you cut down 6 white whithered trees scattered around Giza. They will all float down to the south east river and form a bridge for you cross to a new place called Tracks of the Beast.

Dude I need help! Badly!!! How can I activate this quest??? I'am already in Sochen Cave and finished the cockrotice hunt, can i still get this side quest???can you advice me how to activate this quest???

You need to have reached Imperial Archades first and have gotten the Sandalwood chop to get to Tsenoble there. And complete the "Gil Snapper" hunt and "Patient in the Desert" side quest.

Once you've done the Gil Snapper hunt, find an Urn in the battle area (Tracks of the Beast in the Giza Plains during the Rains), and it'll contain an item called "Feather of the Flock". With this, you can begin the Lost Cockatrice Quest :).

At Imperial Archades, talk to different Archadians to match up their tales with each other's. Just talk to person X and find person Y to match up their sentences. If you do it correctly you are rewarded a Sandalwood chop. You'll need 9 Sandalwood chops to get to Tsenoble, which is another area in the city. Talk to the guy near a sky-taxi in Nilbasse and he'll take you there. That's it. Then complete the other requirements mentioned in my previous comment and finally do the Lost Cockatrice quest.

You have to find all the lost cockatrices that are scattered around the map in the game. Returning each cockatrice to the Nomad Village in Giza Plains gives you different awards. For this particular one, you get a Diamond Sword.
