my handwarmer popped before. It was a oily substance. I don't think it was toxic. It smelled really weird. it's not really bad for your skin.... i think.
I forget, it was a while ago. oh i think i was about to defrost it so i cud use it again and it said i cud put it in a bowl of water and microwave it for an amount of time (i forgot). and then i think i did it for too long or something and it just popped. It didn't explode, it just blew a hole and the water in the bowl turned pinkish

what happenes if they pop? on ur skin when you are skiing or snowboarding and are they even useable when skiing or snowboarding?
