I Have to get this done and if it doesnt work i ihave to get my nerves that hold my knee cap in place cut so my knee will be numb. Ugh): Lets hope this works
@nakallo Yes. I am 13 years old and just had a plica excision from my left knee. My doctor said that I should be back to playing basketball by basketball season witch starts in November at our school.
I had this surgery a year ago and it really messed my knee up, now it's a lot worse than it was before. I strongly caution anyone considering or planning knee surgery to make sure it's absolutely necessary.
I found a bump in my knee and i went to the doctor, i had an x-ray done and an ultrasound. He seems to think it's broken off cartilage but i won't have the full report for a few days.
I was wondering if this will permanently affect me long term, i planned to join the military in less than a year and i can't stop thinking what if i'm unable to preform the duty of a soldier and i get rejected.
I think I am happy to be watching this now, on Wednesday - instead of last Friday when this is what they did to my knee!! EKKK.... I would be chicken!
had this done two days ago, kinda jealous of the people who said they were off their heads, I didn't get any pain killers! hurt like a bitch for the rest of the day, but it's waaaay better. anyone else dealing with spasming/bleeding though? cos I'm a tad worried...
I just had my surgery on the 11th. Im in physical therapy now. I can't completely straighten out my leg. My doctor sayz it does, but [[I'm]] having trouble doing so.
5 days post op at present after arthroscopic plica resection, performed under a spinal, so i was able to watch it on the big screen as it happened. Recovering well with regular paracetamol. i wouldn't recommend a spinal, i had a slow, difficult recovery and went into urinary retention and problems with low BP. Hoping to be on the mountain bike again soon.
I am having my 2nd athroscopy on the same knee on 2nd april the first time was ok until the next day then it hurt like fcuk. Having it done a second time on the same knee doesn't make me feel to happy. Its always good to see what they do inside your knee because they never show you or explain the proper procedure, good video!!
Im 14 had my surgery Yesterday Nothing to the surgery itsself.. doesnt hurt afterwards when you wake up coz ur to busy being off ur head.. expect alot of pain tho guys the next day and prob more.. because atm i cant do anythhin! its hurting so bad
Ok For Any Young people that are haveing this surgery ill tell you probally what it will be like for you if your nervous... ok im 14.... i had the surgery yesterday.... ull be nervous all night and when you get into the hospital you still will be.. they will take all ur details... and put cream on ur hand ... for the needle... anyway lets get to the point... basically the needle is nothing... wakeing up is funny cz ur off ur head but a tell you wha am in so much fucking pain now.. When u get ome
i have to have a Arthroscopic surgery. i cant remember the name but i have a piece of cartilige floating around in my knee causing intense pain. can anyone tell me what the tech. name for it is. and that looks like it will hurt a lot...is there hospital stay required and do you get pain pills and such...once again..ouch
yeah... I just got mine about 10 hours ago... feeling finefor the most part... but its hurting bad... and stuff... no hospital stay is required... as long as everything goes good...
Just had my knee dun a few days ago. It sucks, it hurts and it's an inconvenience but it could be worse. Heck today i was even able to do a little electric slide. Doctor will probly be mad though.
heya guys im josh and im 13 i had my arthroscopy surgery yesterday.. i am on the road to recovery now and am about to do a lot of fisio to get me walking properly.. i have been on cruches for 4 moneths now and its about time i got better hey lol. anyway i hope all of you guys get better and wish me luk for recovery
Im 13 too and im having my second arthroscopy soon... The first arthroscopy was a waste of time as the doctors failed to find any tear or lack of cartiliage, the reason being that they didn't check behind the knee where it was as this area is unusual and so due to incompetence wasted their time and mine (I have been out of sport for nearly 2 years)
I just had this surgery to my right knee about a week ago and I'm up and walking around. Bending it is kind of difficult but, against the wishes of my orthopedic surgeon, I've been riding my gixxer600. He told me today that i should be able to bend it to 120degrees. Hey, I can do that on my bike so riding is almost like physical therapy.

i just had acl and meniscus repair. Im 2 weeks post. It was a little achy the first and second day. other than that it just slows you down. ill be on crutches for 2 more weeks. i was very lucky my bucket-handle meniscus tear was almost irrepairable. you will be fine. therapy is still slow but tolerable. good luck!!!

Lamont should use a simple basket punch instead of a shaver. Would save lots of time !!!!

I wasn't allowed crutches after my medial menisectomy, maybe that's why it's torn again and I gotta have another one!!
