  • could you tell me the name of the chip that is used for processing ? thanx

  • @MrWopz not really sure... the project is in a box somewhere right now, but if you look on Maplin's website maybe it will say.

  • @isotopeofme thanks ;) better than making the pcb!

  • Thanks for sharing this vid, I was thinking about getting one of these maplin kits.

I gotta say though, for the same amount of cash you can buy two 'voice changer megaphones' which have exactly the same sound. Of course the IC is locked away inside a dreaded Black Blog, and all the components are those annoying ultra-miniature types. Circuit bending these ultra-miniature boards is a nightmare.........on reflection it's probably worth paying the extra so that you don't have the hassle!

  • um.. after watching the video again it looks like I had to dub on new audio because whatever I recorded into the camera on the first pass wasn't usable, so I just sped up the video and dubbed on the sound of stepping through the different functions at high speed.

  • Yeah, it doesn't come through too well in the video, and I think it is a touch out of sync. I was stepping through the different levels of pitch shift and "robot voice" while the drum loop played through it. The little module was the only thing processing the sound.

  • I didn't get it, how did it work? Were you pushing the buttons?
