I am aware of this, but it's almost certain that they won't use the Macross Saga as a basis for the story because of the still ongoing legal issues between HG/Tatsunoko and Bandai Visuals. It's not a good idea anyway to do a life action movie IMO. It worked for Transformers because that was a kids show originaly, but honestly I don't see how any good can come out of allowing hollywood to mess around with Robotech.

The models are fantastic true to the anime but quite realistic. The guy on the cell phone on the other hand was pretty fake. Who stays chatting and walks towards a iant robot slug fest?

This is not the entire demo. The original demo (which I saw in 1998 at a birthday party) was much longer with a complete duel between 2 VTFs. Ronin was particularly proud of the bullet casing reflections and broken glass animations, at the time.
