Wonderful. Choreographing a dance for my students now. First time working with kids. Im excited. Any suggestions for costumes? Cost efficient and something they may already have in their wardrobe?
this was one thing they couldnt take from our black culture , "our dance" they may have taken our history but our dance was still with us on the slave ships to america, the carribean, south america (brazil)
It does look like the scene from "Beneath the Planet of the Apes," but in the movie they danced better & their mouths weren't full of mumbo jumbo coon gumbo.
Dope. This reminds me of my time with a dance company in Louisville called Imani so much. Notice how in sync the lead drummer and the dancers are, also notice how distinctive the lead drummer's sound is, you can clearly tell the difference between his slap and his tone.
