  • Co Pilot: sir, you think it's a good time to use those suicide doors?

    Pilot: 0:02: Hell yeeeeaahhhhh.

  • The cause is divergence which is where the forces on the wing are trying to rotate it's leading edge up generating more lift then rotating further. It's not normally a factor, but when you get close to a wings divergence speed the forces increase rapidly. The pilot has pushed the aircraft beyond it's limits & closed on the aircrafts divergence speed and has caused both wings to give way. The airframe might not have been properly maintained, but the wings don't do that without exceptional force.

  • Poor souls

  • So called "metal fatigue". Why you use plane so extensively like 3-th world countries?

  • @RobotN001 What?

  • @Daggur "metal fatigue"

  • @RobotN001 Yea I got that, but what were you saying about the 3rd world?

  • @RobotN001

I heard JATO cuts the life span of the wing spar in half....likr to know where the herc came from..

  • @gogolai33 thats "it just crashed"

  • Easy to explain - probably an old airframe, and the pilots often have to pull some hairy manoeuvres (sp.) to put the water/retardant in the best place. Probably overstressed the main wing spar with one too many sharp pullups.

  • As if I didn't have a big enough fear of flying already...

  • hey people this vid shows people dying so shut the fuck up and quit it with the jokes.

  • R.I.P =( but that barrel roll was sick!

  • No sabotage.... that's an older A model, they had wingbox metal-fatigue issues which is why the AF either retired them or had Lockheed rebuild the wing root structure in the aircraft. The firefighting company didn't keep up maintenance to ensure that the aircraft was safe to fly, for as old as that thing is there's no excuse for this accident to have happened.

  • @gogolai33 STOP GIVING THIS MORON A THUMBS UP!!! He says iether "its going to crash" or "its a crash"

    Some people are soooooooooosoooooooooooosoooooooooooo stupid!

  • I cant even imagine what went through their minds in the moments between the wings separating and the impact. It's disappointing to see that people make fun of this in other comments.

  • @icouldntmakeupaname2 Yeah, but that plane was probably phased/ISO'd and/or pre-flighted before it actually flew, so those flightline crew chiefs or the ones at the ISO dock caught some heat on its maintenance.

  • @gogolai33

    he says "it just crashed"

  • Wow, snapped right on the skate lines it seems. Tragic, I bet the crew chiefs caught hell for this.

  • @JoyFulDoom Actaully seeing as 3 died it was probably the crew chief as the third person... it usually is..

  • Wing spar broke due to metal fatigue. Old planes + heavy payloads + maneuvering flight = this can happen.

  • I beileve I can fly, I beileve I could touch the....wait, nope I can't.

  • New landing style. This airplane drops wings when you are near the ground.

  • Someone pushed the "transform into a submarine" button.

  • @aqinthe come on man have some respect for people that died smh >_<

  • Comment removed

  • apparently the wings need to stay attached, someone tell Boeing........

  • @gogolai33 no, he said "it just crashed"

  • According to the Aviation Safety Network, this plane was built in the late 1950's - one of the earliest C-130s built. Maintenance error could be the reason, for example: Chalk's flight 101, a Grumman Mallard broke its right wing apart after takeoff. 21 people are dead.

  • ok, i dont understand why they say ameture video like WTF

  • @gogolai33 "*BEEEP*, Jezus christ" you hear

  • IT'S A TRAP

  • just strange!

  • he was doing his job.he was a son of somebody.so stop lauphing.

  • i feel bad saying this but, i think he ran out of red bull.

  • It is called: Twin towers stile "Precision Engineering".

  • TORPEDO MODE ACTIVATE

  • to fast speed......

  • this is a after effects test or if you would say, its a fake ;)

  • @KsNoz It's not fake. Have some fucking respect for the crew that died.

  • Too much weight maybe?..

  • Way too much wing loading for the old beast. Since both wings failed, this is a classic 'fly beyond the limits ' scenario. Horrible. They had 3~5 seconds to know they were going to die... and they were there helping others.

  • 0:08 , wtf , its a trap?!?!

  • @TheThomasTT He says, "SHIT! HE JUST CRASHED!"

  • @mlopinto2k1 But the voice is so fucking wierd aswell

  • @mlopinto2k1 isnt it "JESUS CHRIST? "

  • @TheThomasTT its a crap!

  • Ummm, i think they had some structural issues. Just sayin.

  • warm rising air from the fire makes the metal weaker when the plane crosser a area where there is colder presure it makes the metal expand again snapping the wings off as result of making metal hot then then cool it down again

  • the damn thing just buckled!

  • Now how does this fucking happen? R.I.P.

  • @tinyman12323 maybe the plane was to close to the heat spots in the forest and the extreme heat melted or weakend the structure of the plane.. It's just a guess...

  • This "IS" very strange. I've seen them test wings at the Everett Boeing in Washington State. They build 2 of each and they use one of the 2 to stress test. They require so many tons of pressure before they bend and snap. Didn't look like that plane was flying with that much stress. Good job Lockheed.

  • @MythologicalGames Actually, you're quite wrong. Pulling up out of a dive at high speed will put the likely the most stress on the wings that you could possibly apply in flight. That's a textbook situation for how to snap wings off a plane.

  • @MythologicalGames Actually, you're quite wrong. Pulling up out of a dive at high speed will very likely put the most stress on the wings that you could possibly apply in flight. That's a textbook situation for how to snap wings off a plane.

  • @steamfire That's cool but it didn't look like they just got out of a dive. Looks like they were just pulling up after slightly going down. Even though I'm judging what I'm saying from lack of footage and I'm no aeronautical pro but watch it again. From what I can see that isn't a dive.

  • @steamfire The most stress comes from combining multiple forces on a wing.. for example torque as well as the added load of positive g's for example. This is why when pilots recover from a spiral dive, they stop the turn, and then.. and only then do they recover from the resulting dive.. adding two separate forces in great amount breaks wings.

  • to much water and stress on the wing rivets

  • Actually, the wings don't fall off, the fuselage falls off, as the wings produce the lift, not the fuselage.

  • rest in peace pilots, you went out in a blaze of glory.

  • can you just go back i think we droped somthing...

  • jesus christ!

  • How the hell do wings just fall off a plane?, it's ridiculous

  • satin was summoning more minions and got annoyed because that plane was a fly too him

  • probably pulled to many g"s for the load they had because both wings failed RIP

  • @popmihai2000 actually it was the sudden increase in heat below the wings... (warm air rises) The wings went up but the hull couldn't keep up.

    Ret. AF Pilot.

  • it could have been the sudden change in weight that casued this??

    wierd.

  • thts called a inexperienced mw2 player lol!!!

  • @WISCbassers14 so you just saw a person die and you make a video game joke? I feel sorry for you and the state of your mental health. Good luck, you'll need it.

  • WERE OUT OF SUPER GLUE SIR!!!!

this is my comment i was the first ever person to post this >:/

  • CHUCK NORRIS FARTED

  • rip.. but wtf was that?:O

  • hail satan

  • and if memory servs me correct this wildfire was started by some dudes and they caught them and now they have murder on their hands

  • @glennjridge Even though nobody, and I mean NOBODY could have foreseen the wings falling off a plane like this. Had it not happened here, it would've happened somewhere else

  • @glennjridge How's that a murder? It's more the fault of technicians and other maintainance personell who should make sure people don't go onboard planes that drop their wings.

  • @diurdi what are you talking about? did you read my post? the plane and its crew were there because of some guys who started a fire for fun. here because of an incident they made a law...its on the record books in NY state. some kids set a fire at an abandoned building and a firefighter who responded to the fire was killed in a car accident. they were charged with manslaughter as their actions led to the death.

  • @glennjridge Well that's obviously a fucked up law. Sorry to say that, all respect to the firefighter. If the firefighter had died in the actual fire because he burned to death, then yes, it can be considered manslaughter.

  • @diurdi its always a fucked up law, until you have a loved one who is the victim. thats how easy it is to switch stances on this or that. say you have a girlfriend, or father that works in an emergency capacity, and some pranksters cause some issue, and your loved one is called out to take of the problem and on the way there they get killed for what was a prank. you'd feel different.

  • @glennjridge That's why we don't let the victims play judge.

Consider the following. Prankster sets fire on house. Firefighter drives to the house. On the way he gets murdered by some gun-wielding lunatic. Are they both murderers? Makes no sense.

  • @diurdi obviously the person who shoots the fireman is guilty of murder, the one who set the whole thing in motion the prankster is guilty of manslaughter.

I dont know why you are surprised....laws are created due to victims all the time.

I'll tell you another law you arent aware of. if a gang of people approach a man on the street and one of the gang shoots him....they ALL are charged wit murder. even the ones who didnt pull the trigger. I know these things. the adverage person doesnt.

  • @glennjridge And if a police officer tries to perform an illegal arrest on you, and you resist the illegal arrest up to killing the police, you've not committed any crime. Anyway, your original reply was that the "dudes" had murder on their hand, which is clearly not true. And it's only manslaughter according to some fucked up law. You can't blame someone for something they had no role in. i.e. unrelated fatal shooting when someone was doing their job.

  • @diurdi I dont know how you got on the subject of the police making illegal arrests. and you certainly can blame someone......like I said, its a law and you would feel differently if a loved one of yours got killed.

thats how easy it is to switch sides.

  • @glennjridge If people I knew died in the 9/11 attacks I would've felt like removing all muslims from USA, doesn't mean it's right. It's a fucked up law if it even exists. And your gang of 4 shooting scenario doesnt mean they all get convicted for murder...

  • @diurdi they ALL get charged for murder......look up "acting in concert". you are right in the sense they might not all get convicted, but thats only because they made deals to escape getting charged by giving evidence to help convict the actual shooter rather than go down with him. thinking a law is fucked up is fine. there are lots of fucked up laws.

  • @glennjridge They may all be suspects, but the prosecutor will have to prove that they were all in on the shooting for it to become a murder. Just because a student pulls a gun in the middle of the school and starts blasting, doesn't mean all his friends are murderers.

But really, that alleged "law" could basicly make a petty thief into a murdered because the thief stole something small, the shopowner called the cops and the cop died on the way because of an unrelated traffic accident. No way.

  • @glennjridge Care to share a link to the documentation,, news or to the law itself ?

  • @tabamoura

New York Penal - Article 125 - § 125.11 Aggravated Criminally Negligent Homicide

A person is guilty of aggravated criminally negligent homicide when, with criminal negligence, he or she causes the death of a police officer, firefighter or peace officer where such officer was in the course of performing his or her official duties.

  • @glennjridge So. . Let's say you have a fight with your wife and the neighbors call the cops. In route to your house, someone rams into the police cruise and kills the officer. Are you going to be charged with homicide?

  • @glennjridge This is idiotic. That's no way the person who started this fire will be charged with murder of the airplane crew. Let's. say you park illegally then someone had to go around your car and when doing that didn't look and crossed the path of another passing vehicle which swerves . hits a tree and everybody died. Are you gonna be charged with murder? Hell no All you did was to park illegally . If the airplane was in good condition , nothing would happen.to the crew.

  • @tabamoura .

I cant believe you have never heard of criminally negligent homicide? if your negligence causes the death of someone......be it me....your neighbor..or a firefighter you can be charged with it. happens everyday in courts all over the US.how have you never heard of it? if you cause a fire....and a police officer rushing to the scene gets killed...you can get charged with criminally negligent homicide. YOU lead to the death of another person.

  • @glennjridge you didn't answer my question. Also nobody got killed because of the fire. They got killed because the goddamn plane broke apart. Somebody else is the culprit of the plane falling off the sky. no

  • @tabamoura you just arent getting it. first off I answered your question, I even gave you the actual code of the LAW on the books.its a real law. READ.......if a police officer...or firefighter....or peace officer is killed in the line of duty to someones criminal negligence....they get charged with criminally negligent homicide.so, if an arsonist sets a fire and a firefighter is killed while in the process of battling a criminally negligent act, they get charged. I'm not going to go in circles.

  • @tabamoura You're referring the the gray area in legal terminology, foreseeable occurance as a result of a crime. When any fire is started it is foreseeable that it could injure tenants in housing of those fighting the fire. The much aging c130 could have been in better airframe condition but it wasn't and they died. How much blame should be shifted to maintenance/arsonist? Its debatable. However in court of law, a judge will nearly always back firefighters over arsonist in legal gray areas.

  • @riprider03 Yes. My thoughts exactly. If I park in a non parking zone and the parking enforcer stops to give me a ticket and gets rammed by another car and died . Am I a murdered?

  • @glennjridge i dont think it would be murder unless they did it on purpose. the fire starter(s) could not have know the plane would break apart... unless they sabatoged it?

  • @gforce118118 Exactly. Manslaughter would be the more appropriate label to give the arsonists. Or hey, maybe even arsonists!

  • @ShokaLion

    (in prison)

Q: what are you in for?

    A: loitering. Q: You?

    A: MANSLAUGHTER!!! I slaughtered a man, like a pig...

  • @glennjridge umm wouldnt be murder you idiot. It would be manslaughter because they would not have wanted to kill anyone

  • @27thlegion thats not always true moron.depends on what state you live in. for instance in North Carolina if you drive drunk and you hit someone and they die....you are charged with 2nd degree murder.

the person didnt set out to murder someone but because they decided to drive a heavy vehicle while impaired it put others lives in danger.

  • @glennjridge well i come from a country where we understand the difference between murder (what the SEALS did to bin laden) and Man slaughter (where a drunk driver accidently hits someone)

  • @27thlegion hey, we dont always have control over the monkey leader here.and from what I read about australia and the aborigini you guys solved your problem in the 1930's . maybe someday we will also. I dont want to fight, someday I look forward to coming to australia and get some legal prostitutes.I hear you guys are the future thailand.

  • poor pilots, never even knew what happened.

  • At first I was like ' oh wait, is this the one where the wings fold up err yep' lol rip pilots deaths were quick but finally few seconds must have brick shitting

  • thats what happens when mx dont do their job.

  • i really wanna know the direct cause of that like wtf. r.i.p.

  • i heard some guy yell its a trap!!!

  • @flamegamereview he said it just crashed

  • it just wanted to fly like a bird :;{

  • AC ONE THIRT- ...oh shit...

  • @WNxtheholyspoon no..... Wrong plane...... AC-130's are armed planes. The C-130 is a cargo jet.

  • i just hope their deaths were qucik...RIP all 3.

  • They camera guy told them it was a trap...

  • is it just me but does that look kinda fake.... im not accusing it but idk

  • hahaha

  • Go to cyberairlines(dot)net and register. It's very fun, simple, and has a very good communtiy. When you register, put affliated by geronimoblue6. Thank You. I encourage everyone to play cuz it is very very fun.

  • tail number?

  • R.I.P. :' (

  • Sucks they only found out after the crash that the chemicals they used to fight fire also cause corrosion (and structural failure) :(

  • well, looks like the duck tape didn't work... damn...

  • We witnessed three people die while watching this clip. Their families must be haunted by the existence of this video.

  • weirdest part is that it happened AFTER they dropped their payload.. maybe it was the flexing of the sudden load shift?

  • Do a barrel roll!!!

  • sounds like Ackbar at 0:08

    ITS A TRAP!!!!!!!!

  • these people on the news talk waaaaaaaaaaaaaaay too much

  • god bless their soul

  • Sad just sad

  • RIP

  • If I had seen this in person, it probably would have scarred me for life. I just can't imagine what was going through the heads of the pilots. Fortunately, they didn't have to suffer for too long. R.I.P.

  • jeez thats sad..

  • i remember this crash, i think they determined that the main wing spar had fatigue cracks and snapped. i think they grounded most of the c-130s to inspect them after this

  • damn...

  • They snap right off..

Is there any documentary/report about this out there?

  • June 17, 2002 : While fighting a fire in northern California, the starboard wing of a C-130A Hercules, N130HP, former USAF 56-0538, c/n 3146, operated by Hawkins & Powers Aviation, came off as the centre wing box failed during a pull-out from a drop near Walker, California, followed less than a second later by the port wing. It rolled inverted and crashed into the forest, killing all three crew.

  • well that didnt help with the fire

  • FAKE???

  • @stanzoey Stupid???

  • @stanzoey i thought that

  • @stanzoey hard time getting a girl friend? / if your calling this fake then your nothing but a low life attention seeker

  • OMFG! O.O

  • It's a Bird! It's a Plane! No wait, what if it's both?

  • lets blame the pilots

  • ITS A TRAP!

  • That aint gonna help put the fire out!!! But jokes aside R.I.P

  • theres nothing duct tape wont hold-woulda been useful here

  • That's a bit, random.

I think they need a bit more duct tape...

  • I feel bad for everybody and the families of the people on this plane, but theres an inspection out because of this that prevents it. good thing. caused me more work but its worth it

  • made in china...

  • That is what "Made in USA' is turning synonymous with.

  • did they died?

  • Fuking chains get a life sucker

  • the tape didn't resist..

  • R.I.P For The Pilots Who Flew It.

  • LOL THE WINGS JUST POPPED OFF

  • @MMSBANQUET yeah and people died, is that really funny to you?

  • RIP

  • The airplane was built in 1956, and water is a heavy cargo, the plane broke its main spar.

  • I think it's ironic when they were trying to put out fire when they just made some more...

  • hahahaha bloody entertaining (RIP people who died )

  • That was somthin look at 12 secs seine

Is under wat used to be the wings so obiousley it is a setup

  • @MrEreizrichy What you mean the WATERTANK on the FIREFIGHTING PLANE? Ah yes, well spotted sir, clearly a conspiracy!

  • imagine what was going through the poor pilots mind when the wing gave way

  • terrorist invasion fuckers!

  • how it`s possible?????

  • @Grzecho2007 Rust, corosion, faulty bolts and etc etc etc... there are so many possibilities.

  • Este contribuyo al incendio ja ja jaja

  • nvm it is a C130 i got this mixed up with another crash

  • that was not a C130 is was a N130HP

  • because the weight of the water wasn't balanced properly around the aircraft

  • That would be scary as heck inside that thing... But even scarier if you were a little bunny rabbit watching something 6,000 times heavier than you speed towards your burrow.....
