  • 2 great musicans, i love it

  • Damn, this is great. Two of my favorite artists, ever.

  • Roger Waters & Eric Clapton - Perfeito !!

  • Гилмор лучше!!!!!!!

  • perfect just perfect, just enjoy

  • Me quede sin palabras :D Gracias por tanto a ambos.

  • * * * * *

  • i love pink floyd and I like eric clapton!

  • sorry, but the choir singing in the refrain ruined this version for me. Clapton's solo was great though, as were the verses.

  • @JosefK93 agreed...

  • @Own3dRunescaper I mean... how can Roger come up with such an idea? If his voice had been diminished in any way I could understand including a choir to back him up, but his voice is as good as ever, I just don't get it...

  • I'm a huge Pink Floyd fan bust this version is really screwed up !

  • @dinovideos Naah you can't say that CLAPTON is playing lead guitar dude.....I'm not saying it's better that the original but it's not worse ;)

  • @MrStefdz It's a matter of opnions man, i didn't liked it

  • esse é o hino do pink floyd!

  • O loco...sem palavras....

  • Was that Matt Damon at 1:55? ;-) jk

  • Roger waters is the freaking genious and david gilmour the talented.. end of discussion

  • Brown sugar...how come you taste so good!

  • This is not PINK FLOYD, its Clapton and Waters... It's a song in the end, performed by 2 great musicians, and i dont see a purpose of speaking what is pink floyd and what's not.

  • @RevolveR91100 well. you show that you don't really know your pink floyd history. Syd wasn't just in the pack, he's the creator of the band. he is the original essence. even the band always said it. and yes, this is not presented as pink floyd but Waters, who's giving his self the liberty to play his own song with whom he wants..

  • @softhausstudio who was mentioning syd?

  • @RevolveR91100 you. saying that he wasn't in the pack, thing that is totally untrue

  • @RevolveR91100 Let's get this straight... first, you post that this isn't Floyd... then you post that you don't see a purpose "of speaking" (roll eyes here) "what is Pink Floyd and what's not". That about cover it?

That blatant contradiction sounds like it was writtn by a Gilmour fan. No wonder Dave had to cry to his girlfriend for help writing lyrics for the Pink Fraud period.

Maybe You should consult with your girlfriend (or boyfriend) before posting, for help...

  • This is such a cool version....Vintage PF sound.

  • he wish gilmour would be there to make this perfect...

  • @BandKeks

We only prefer Gilmour's voice because we're used to it in this song. Imagine if Gilmour sang Confortably Numb from begining to end. It would be weird, but not less good.

  • @lucaslmgv hm sure , but being honest, this performance istnt realy good from the singing point of view , he doasnt hit the right notes and its more talking than singing, i mean i like his voice , it has something from the wise old man who tell you something important for your whole life ;)

  • @lucaslmgv ??? Gilmour sings basically 80% of the Confortably Numb and plays all of the guitar solos ... anybody can do Roger's part on that song, but nobody can replace Gilmour. The problem is that Roger always try to change the melody of the song. Gilmour always plays in the way it was recorded. I think it is because was Gilmour that created the melody of this song, not Roger.

  • @scriptori66

Confortably numb is better sang by roger waters in my opinion.

And yeah, this song is better sang by david gilmour.

And yeah, none can be as good as each other...

What lets me down is that Rick Wright is dead and they'll never perform Echoes again. T-T

  • @scriptori66 yeah, its a tough topic. Gilmour had a smooth, airy quaiity that is hard to replicate. Waters voice, particularly on the Wall, is very unique...gritty, a sinister, desperate feel to it. Gilmour was always my favorite, but they are a pair that together wrote some of the greatest music we've heard ever.

  • my two favorite musicians playing one of my favorite songs! and they did a pretty good job.

  • YOU ARE ALL WRONG

WYCLEF JEAN SINGS THE BEST VERSION OF THIS SONG

    MEGA LOLZZZ!!!!!111!!!1!!!!one!!!1!!!!!

    you're all muppets

  • Sweet.

  • What a duet!! Eric and Roger!! Just love it

  • Not the same without Dave...

  • ESTA CANCION SOL0 LA DEVERIA TOCAR DAVID GILMUR ESW PARA SU VOZ LO SIENTO APESAR QUE ME ENCANTA ROGE WATERS

  • I love roger but why must he talk instead of sing?

  • Those folks that compare vocals between Gilmour and Waters and Claptons vs. Gilmours guitar need some musical and creative perspective. Artists interpret songs from seperate inner realms, this is what the audience should appreciate and listen for...

  • David Gilmour should falcon punch the crap out of eric clapton for stealing his solo

  • @mynameischunky

wtf is wrong with you? no-one but Gilmour is allowed to play guitar on this song?

  • @mynameischunky luckily though, David Gilmour unlike you isn't a dickhead...

  • @mynameischunky

is it really the exact solo?

  • Its a good effort, by Rog as the orignial lyricist, and a a passable singer, but the fact is he needs his old band more than he will ever admit to realising.

  • wish u where here ... one of the greatest song and is like i feel ... i wish you where here... with all my hearth ... love u for ever

  • Gods of music...

  • All of them together - pink floyd. a unique group of uniquely creative people. they wrote history. magic. PF was more than just the addition of its members. RIP Rick. miss you. but fortunately, we all will have the chance to see "the wall" show for one last time performed by roger waters in 2010/11 on his world tour (check his website!!!!). really looking forward to it.

  • truly, this interpretation of wywh is new. but one cannot deny that here we got two of the greatest musicians of the 20th century playing together. gilmour was also great with his guitar play, but waters is slightly different. he is the creative mind behind all great floyd projects. he had the ideas, the personal and political messages he wanted to convey. the others were the absolutely great musicians who brought the sound and the emotional impact into the music, especially Wright and Gilmour.

  • Waters is the real creative force behind Pink Floyd but he can't sing anymore, his voice is totally gone. He has explained that many times, he can't even sing the songs he sung in the Wall album. Gilmour's voice is much better, he's a pretty good singer (not great) and an exceptional guitar player and musician. But most of PK most famous songs were written by Waters.

  • PINK FLOYD WAS David Gilmour, Roger Waters, Rick Write and Nick Mason

PINK FLOYD, was that amazing moment when this 4 men were together, is not that I don't think Syd wasn't in the pack, it's just that Shinny moment, those amazing creations that put them in History forever, so pleeeeease, stop those pointless comparisons and useless comment war about who is better than who, they respect each other, and they know what they did together.

  • @pabloslam *Wright

  • @MoniUntitled yes, you are right :)

  • wish you were here was always gilmours effort, but roger is great. he was responceable for the final cut album and alot of the wall album. they together along with nick and sid made pink floyd.

  • Fucking Obama!

  • Amazing...:-)

  • This can't be real!

  • It is real lol. If you like the waters/clapton combination, look up The Pros And Cons Of Hitchiking. It's one of Roger Waters' solo albums, Clapton plays the guitar on the album.

  • Great!

Pink Floyd is PInk Floyd, then, DG is DG and also RW is RW.

Never, people got the chance to give away an artist from his own work.

    Salute you, and I'm Me.

    Slack!

  • this was a good song to start, but eric gave it more rhythm or emotion to it.

  • Both Roger and David are great musicians, just like Richard and Syd were..

  • Roger waters is great in his own right... but, David Gilmour IS Pink Floyd to me. You can still feel it when DG does songs that they originally did together. - I can't say the same when RW does them though.

  • @aguyatthebeach i feel the same way

  • Agreed, but you must commit that DG can't sing hey you intro... RW is bass voice ,DG is tenor one . Both of them is PF but the voice of DG is the characher of PF, RW just make the vocals more intresting

  • Yeah, very interesting version of this rock classic. No disrespect intended, kind of has the flavor of Lou Reed does Pink Floyd.

  • Interesting, unique version.

  • actually i do feel roger's "sad old man singing" fits this song very well... of course david's powerful voice owns this version.. but still i loved this

  • @2112BrunoYYZ saw your comment - FWIW I think you put it really well re Rogers singing - I had been "feeling" that when listening to it, but hadn't quite realised what I was feeling (if you see what I mean) until you put it into words, so thank you

  • Fuck this am away to listen to gilmour playing and singing it he is the man there is no feeling about this version

  • sorry to disappoint you nofrils but unless reincarnation is proved, you will only see all five of them playing together in heaven, 'cause syd and rick are gone baby, gone... sadly of course.

by the way.. this song does not have gilmour's solo, just because of the detail that this is not pink floyd, this is not gilmour, this is roger waters with eric clapton :D and his solo was also great

  • you would think he got tired of rhythm guitar by now

  • lmao

  • It's jut not Gilmour, I LOVE this song but it's just not Davidish the guitar feels sloppy, and the vocals don't convey that sad message.

Boy how I wish that for the last gig they somehow got together while they were all still alive Syd, Roger, David, Richer, Nick just for one song any song. Seeing them 5 on one stage would have been epic.

  • When was this?

  • Another great performance of one of the best songs ever....

  • gilmour sings this song better

  • Just be fcking glad you can listen to another great version of this EPIC song. Omg

  • Roger might have written it, but this effort explains why Dave sang it. Would have been better if Eric had sung it here.

  • actually roger wrotes only the LYRICS and gilmour entirely wrote the music as for a lot of other songs were waters is credited people always thinks he might have done the music but it's not always the case.

  • why one of them did noy play gilmour's intro solo???

  • @boboche309

I'm a huge Gilmour fan. Gilmour is definitely far better live performer then Roger, and far better singer. But Roger is songwriting mastermind... he is just one of a kind.

  • i love clapton but only when he plays blues

  • Existe la perfeccion

  • you suck

  • What a pathetic comment.

  • Damn, if its true Waters lost his higher voice that totally sucks...I loved that sound

  • I wish Eric Clapton sung harmonizing voice on chorus and girls stayed as string section

  • Just great!

  • my teardrops felt when i heard this version. True Genius two of them

  • Waters will forever be one of the BEST in this cruel world...What ever he haved made in all the years..only genuis can he be!!! I say thank for all.....:)

  • Don't get me wrong, I love Gilmour's voice and guitar on the studio version, but I think Waters's lower voice sort of gave the song a sad and spare tone. Clapton does well too, as usual. I like this version. Just saying...

  • it's just different not worse =D

  • gilmore is the great singer .rogers always been lower due to massive bollocks no doubt .his high register is the maniacal wonderfulness off the wall which ,if you havent noticed many are not quick to reproduce .

  • he sounds awesome..

    beautiful..traaAAAiiilll...

  • eww gilmour version is btter but what i can say this is pf too keep rocking^.^

  • Anyone know where i can the MP3 for this?

  • Get realplayer down the youtube movie in the realplayer library you just press on the video you downloaded and press convert into mp3 file. Done

    Hope that helped :)

  • roger waters totally just talked this whole thing through, i don't understand why though. i mean i love pink floyd, but this version is not that great at all, who sung the studio version?

  • That would be Gilmour. Waters can't sing, but he sure could write.

  • david gilmour sang i think, roger has kinda lost his higher key voice

  • David Gilmour had lead vocals on the studio version. Though Roger's had the lyrical part of this song, David Gilmour's guitar piece and his vocals are the elements that make the song what it is. I personally, though I know this was for a good cause, dislike this version. Clapton trying to fill in David Gilmour's shoes is just painful.

  • It's because he's tone deaf. He used to be able to sing.

The original I believe was recorded by Roger and David both taking turns singing, However I could be wrong there.

  • Awesome.

  • :O! its the three girls from the In The Flesh Tour....they're good :)

  • a pair of Leg Ends !!!

  • This sounded very nice. What a cool version.

  • Look at Eric's leg :D

  • hey PVGroove this song was written mostly by Gilmour and Waters only had a little influence

  • Both of them :) Anyway both of them composed excellent song.

  • Roger wrote the lyrics, Gilmour wrote the music for the biggest part I guess.

  • pvgroove, it was written by both gilmour and waters and not as you say by waters only. classic tune and brilliant version thanks to fine guitar work delivered by mr eric clapton. i don't like roger's way of singing wish you were here.

  • Cool!!!

  • Nice but i think the voice of David Gilmour is better in that song. Anyway, it's still a pink floyd's song :P

  • Yeah David's voice is better, but Clapton makes up for te absences lol!

  • this is really a so so version of the song i feel as if it is missing something oh wait it is david gilmour and i really don't care gilmour kicks claptons ass anyway the song lost alot of it's meaning it has become to comercialized to an extent

  • this music makes no sense without gilmour.

  • absolutely right!

  • That was great. Thank you!

  • pauly7917,

Why is it so weird that Clapton would play with Rogers? He was on the Pros and Cons of Hitchhiking along with David Sanborn and some otha dudes. ps I think I like Clapton's solo better than Gilmour's (I know, that's a sin to all my fellow Pink Floyd fans. oh well! I'm a Yardbirds/Derek and the Dominoes fan too, so it cancels out.)

  • rogers got the lyrics unfortunately not the voice! still gota love the man tho, because as good as gilmours solos and singing, the floyd would not have their depressive, creative spirit!genius

  • the girls gotta go though!

  • whaT A MIX...waters/Clapton,how the hell did this happen?

  • They are good friends.

  • Jesus was organising the concert. :)

  • Amazing, did not know of this unique version... Thx for posting

Couldn't agree more about Waters being one of greatest songwriters ever

  • Why has this video had 0 comments and so few views ??? This really something to behold
