You people don't know what its like to work on a litttle kid. Its the hardest thing in the world, doing dentistry on people younger than 8. Bitching parents watching over you with hawk eyes, 8 hours a day of screaming, crying kids. You th ink you can just "knock" out a kid with drugs and work on their teeth? hah. think again. It's practically torture.
They should have stopped when the kid started to panick, even if they meant well. This kid will never get over this. And cleaning teeth is something more painful than filling a tooth. This is a bad dentist and a bad parent.
This is one of the reasons why they have to put me on nitrous oxide, even for teeth cleaning (which should've been last week but the dentist was ill so he had to cancel).
Wow, you guys are so selfish. He is NOT drilling the little girls teeth, I'm pretty sure if the kid had a cavity they would just pull the tooth, considering it's a baby tooth, it would be pointless to drill a baby tooth, it'll fall out eventually. Shes getting her teeth cleaned. The mother isn't being mean, she's being extremely responsible to make sure her kids teeth are clean and healthy. It's called being a responsible parent. Of course the kid is scared, but it's not hurting her. Shes fine.
@jobros170 Being responsible doesn't mean scaring your kid for life. You can teach your kids how to clean their teeth without traumatize them. This is obviously a dentist who can't handle kids. He should have stopped whatever he was doing the moment the child started to panick.
Every dentist and every parent should watch this. It starts early. The fear, the anxiety;. This happened to me when I was 5. Never got over it. What on earth is wrong with the mother of this child?
OMG. Now that poor little girl is going to be terrified to go to the dentist again. Why would her mom allow them to treat her like that? You never force a child to sit through a procedure when they are terrified like that. Unbelievable. THere was no need for that to happen in that way. None at all.
This is polishing but I've got teeth drilling at 7 age....so awful

@Saartje05 it is fully responsible, the Mum wasn't trying to scare her child, she only wants her to be healthy.
RainbowRoan 1 month ago
@RainbowRoan I disagree. Because the child will change her teeth very soon it´s not necessary doing this.

@RainbowRoan obviously too late

You're obviously NOT a dentist

@mizenne I never said I was. But I do know how to take care of teeth.

@jobros170
It is not pointless to drill a baby tooth. If it has a cavity, you dont just pull it out. Too many people with non-existent dental IQs.
This is poor parenting skills, and poor coping skills.
Learn to deal. Its just a polish.

@jobros170 Maybe she should buy her a good tootbrush then.
