AC is an arcade game lock-on is a Simulation game. they may have some things in common but they are different types of games, each specialising in something different. AC throws away uber-realism and simply gives as a GAME to play and enjoy. Lock-on gives us a game which simulates realism and makes us feel like actual pilots (AC also does that but in a smaller degree). both are good games but they aim on diferent gameplay. STFU everyone and play what you want^^

@SuperMalcriao Ive played Falcon 4 BMS back then when i was young, yes its a fun simulator. But ive gotten my eyes on the ace combat series ever since.

The reason why you might ask? Because theyre games that give story, music, and gameplay that makes you feel like a pro even tho if you are just a casual person that probably never touched real controls of an aircraft.

There really must be another reason why you bought ALL the past ace combat games even tho its not a simulator series.

@BansheeHallow I just didn't get the same feeling in this one. The story bored me, it wasn't interesting and didn't flow well. Storytelling in general. Cutscenes dragged on in some spots and uninteresting. No mission briefings. The crazy super weapons that were in previous games. Wingman comands, and all around characterization of wingmen (don't even know who warwolf 3 and 4 are). The silent, faceless protagonist. Ability to buy your own aircraft. The alternate earth setting. This is all IMO

i think everything they have done for this game is exsactly what they needed to bring it to a new audeince, even though some of the things they put into the gameplay bug me at points. mainly the user friendly features like ASM (air strike mode) i do however believe that DFM (dog fight mode) was nesissary to help make the machine gun more usefull. but the best thing so far is how they have made it alot more cinematic than previous titles. PS im sick of playing as an american. of course 5 stars
