My sis went up - she was in the news media - and had a blast. Those guys love to take up the pretty ladies! I guess they puke less than dudes, too.

Pay. Probably a lot as well. A jet flight is normally a few thousand pounds (dollars), so a go with the Blue Angels will likely be more than that.
They do take business people up and they will be paying a bunch of cash which will then go towards paying for the expenses of putting on displays.
