Sad thing major powers always used them as a tool like Soviet's iron curtain and before that Ottoman expansions and even Mongol invasion. A bit myopic to state the culture of the Ottomans is 'Arab' when Arabic culture itself is a mixture of Sassanid Persian and other near Eastern cultures that the Ummayads adopted after their conquests. Ottoman architecture is nothing like the early Caliphates but instead has native Anatolian(Seljuk) influences combined with Turkic and Byzantine styles, its literature was influenced more by Persian poets than Arab, its cuisine had recipes and flavors from all over their empire, so WTH?

wow, this is just pathetic. Who the hell cares if it had Arabian influence or not? Is that a bad thing? No, but clearly the ottomans were a hybrid of different races and cultures. They identified with Islam which is what promoted the Arabic alphabet and language, but they spoke Turkish in Turkey and Istanbul. So what? It is just a great culture and historical entity that should be an example of Islamic unity to Muslims today. There is no need for foul language.

The alphabet was used arabian letters but they were modified to Ottoman Turkish.I mean,it was written arabian letters but has read as Turkish.Like today,we use "Latin alphabet" but we dont read "Latin".Also it's normal that second song include maybe arabian melodies because Turkish Music is mixture of asian turkish notas,arabian,balkan,anatolian and greek.Today Turkish culture is aharmony of asia,mideast and balkans with greek.And I've never hear V.Ahmed who became a muslim after he was born.

Turks didnt destrıyed cultures.Ayasofya is a churc and It is still stand.Topkapi palace and other nearly half of them is byzantian structure.Nearly all historical churcs is still stand in turkey
And I m asking where is the ottoman mosques in europe?????Europians destroyed nearly all mosques,Turkish baths!

Hahahaha, hey you should read your history again. what is the first date of the republic? i guess you go to the "cumhuriyet mitingleri" but not know the date. i'll help you it is 29 october 1923. and of course 23 April 1920 is the opening of the parlement (TBMM).

great video ! congrats! , Ottoman Empire were one of the best Empire in the WEST , no match to Frnaks , germans and Russians during the period . it is the last Islamic Empire. Its tolerence to ppl of the books were amazing and enable them to sustain Empire to the 19th Century , only then due to hyprocrasy , the west jelousy and of course Islam haters , the Empire had to subdue under its own weight
