  • I was there.

  • I love everything about tthis group . Love all of their songs. These women are angels. Whenever I feel depressed or upsessed I come here and listen to Celtic Women. They

always bring me back. Thank you to whover posted these videos. !!!

  • Since when does Mairead sing?!? She's the violinist and yes a violin can sing in some way, but Mairead ain't a singer, but a violinplayer....a GREAT violinplayer i have to say.

  • @Selahrocks Mairead did sing one song on her solo album "Raining Up", but she does not usually sing with Celtic Woman, as she would rather let her wonderful 300+ year old violin do the "singing".

  • i found listed in a search for gone till novemeber. this is a much more superior tune.

  • I have watched your shows on TV some 6 years ago and I have got hooked to your music.. you people are just amazing.. and god like in your creation.. keep up the good work and spread happiness through your work.. may god bless you..

  • 40 people didn't take her advice.

  • I love how she's like swaying and dancing lol

  • Incredible,,,,Thanks Ireland!

  • If there is any language that i would love to speak and learn how to speak, i would say it would have to be Gaelic. Too bad my school doesn't offer it... :'(

  • @NightSeraphim I KNOW RIGHT?!?!?! We need to petition the schools.

  • @celticcountrylover Don't tempt me. I just might do that. But, seeing as it is my last year in high school, it would be kinda pointless for me....lol

  • @NightSeraphim :( AWWWWW!!!!! I had my pitchforks and torches ready and EVERYTHING! You ruin all my fun...

  • @celticcountrylover lol. i'm sorry. maybe we still can just for those that come after us, yes?

  • @NightSeraphim I like this plan!

  • @NightSeraphim There are a million ways to learn it now, there's even online courses, visit a gaeltacht, pick up books. Even see if you can find coffee morning, people don't caare about how little or how much you know (:

  • @AyeYirMa Then there is of course finding the time to do so. lol. i am very busy. sadly. but i just want to learn as much of the language as i possibly can.

  • I'm an 18 year old Swedish girl who wants to learn this language. How do I start?

  • @notblondeswede

I would try Rosetta Stone to start with. :D

  • The violin and lead singers parents must be so proud. i love what she does with her face and body when she sings its so playfull haha

  • I play the violin. I know pretty well how it is played and how to get good sound quality in some situations. Now, this violin player is fucking FANTASTIC. It's hard to create better sound quality.

  • So beautiful. And her voice is incredible.

  • OMD THIS IS SO BEAUTIFUL!!! WHAT LANGUAGE IS THAT???

  • @05werewolf gaelic

  • @05werewolf Gaeilge, or Irish. (not Gaelic)

  • Comment removed

  • OMG, it sounds like some indian language :P

  • Thats Beautiful :D

    and the violin is Amazing!

  • I know this is a stupid ass question, but what language is this exactly

  • @monkeyman9342 It's Irish, or Gaeilge. Not Gaelic ;)

  • @norelle28 it's gaelic. just so u know. :) I'd like to learn it myself. It's on my bucket list.

  • @EdwardAddictOTD He had it right, it's Irish, the official language of Ireland. Irish/Gaeilge is one of the Gaelic languages.

  • DOING!!!!!! ( o ) ( o )

  • Любимая песня в исполнении Méav, наряду с Dulaman. Приятно слушать красивый Gaeilge и видеть интересную женщину, которая действительно умеет петь.

  • was für eine power in der Stimme!

  • OK Question!

Ive read many comments that the Irish language is Gaeilge and Gaelic is the name of the family the language belongs to...

    1. How to pronounce Gaelic in irish? "Gallick" or "Gay-lick"?

    2. How to pronounce Gaelige correctly?

  • @alienatedfreak23 well in the scottish gaelic (i think thats the one i'm trying to learn) its pronounced "gah-lic"

  • @nevermore54321

    that is correct

  • @nevermore54321

haha, maybe you should learn which one you are trying to learn, before you start learning the language!! haha

as the irish and scottish Gaelic are different in so many ways! and they are not very fond of one an other!!

my mum and Scottish, i learnt scottish gealic growing up, irish gealic is much more beautiful... why do you want to learn exactly??

  • I'm Hispanic, I don't understand what's she is singing about, besides by reading the comments posted, but it doesn't make a difference, this is BEAUTIFUL MUSIC. I can't stop listening to this song. That,s what I love about music, there are no language barriers, anyone can enjoy special music such as this one....

  • @2him1way hello, Are you the gardenian virgen of wiccanism? just curious, because you strike me that way...which is beautiful...any-fuckin-who...where did you get these lyrics from? • @crystalys420 lol sorry i posted 2 times

  • I am Australian and I think that was wonderful. Until I read the comments I thought gaelic was a language and not a collecton of languages. What was the gaelec language that these ladies where singing? How many Gaelic languages exist today?

  • @F828bzn5728

Gaelic IS a language. It' s also called Irish. The song is sung in Irish, which is a member of the Celtic languages. The living Celtic languages today are: Irish, Scot's Gaelic, Breton and Welsh. The language of the Isle of Man, Manx, lost its last native speaker in 1974. It's currently being revived. The language of Cornwall, Cornish, is also going through a revival. It reached a point where only 2 speakers were living before a revival started in the late 1800's.

  • @F828bzn5728 There are basically three Gaelic languages today Irish(Gaeilge), Manx, and Scottish. The Gaelic language spoken in Ireland, and in this video, is Gaeilge. Gaeilge in English means "Irish".

  • what is she saying in english because this is beautiful an i wanna know what shes saying

  • I'm not even Irish and can't speak Gaeilge, but I must admit that was beyond BEAUTIFUL.

  • Beautiful :)

  • Doing this song for our choir.... problem?

English speaking children trying to spit out Gaelic words and TRYING to make it sound half as pretty (lol)

  • @nadia237 Gaeilge is the irish (/gaelic) name for the irish language, if you would have searched better, you'd have known ... Gaeilge is not(!) a verb!! It is a noun, femine declination 4, to be precise.

  • Comment removed

  • @nadia237 It's called G O O G L E. Use it sometime.

  • My favourite song, and my favourite singer....

  • @nadia237....Well you google and your irish friend can piss up a rope....Since Gaeilge is the first OFFICIAL LANGUAGE of Ireland...Since I was born and raised in Ireland, I think I know a bit more about it than you all do...

  • @nadia237...Your the moron you dolt. Don't tell someone who grew up speaking the language that I don't know what it it.... Gaelic isn't even a language it's a language family with several languages and dialects..

Ní bheadh a fhios agat má tá sé ar mo theanga giotán tú ar an asal

  • @gaeilge101 honest inquiry, do you give lessons?

  • @TheJojodancer15...Sorry but no....not home enough...currently on tour with CW..

  • Takes me back to how my ancestors were like. So beautiful.

  • Mi favorita!

  • @hexcane...I think you misunderstood my comment...what I was saying is...it doesn't matter what language a song is sung in...if you feel the music and want to sing along even is you don't know the language it's ok...

  • @hexcane..Yes it does that's why I keep correcting people who call the language Gaelic....

  • i love this song

  • she can't move in the dress XD

  • Also, her facial expression on 1:16 = Sex.

  • what is the lyrics in Englisch?

  • I'm singing along to this, not knowing what I'm singing and without even properly knowing the words, but the hell with it, I'm singing along, whether I speak Irish or not!

  • @ImaginaryNightshade Same with me XD

  • @ImaginaryNightshade Singing along to music - no matter if you comprehend the language, or sound anywhere near as good as the original singers - is a human right. Don't ever stop.

  • @ImaginaryNightshade....Good for you...That's part of the spirit of music, the language doesn't matter, if you feel like singing along then great...And thank you for NOT calling the language Gaelic.....The language is Gaeilge, but we here in Ireland simply call it as you did Irish...

  • @gaeilge101 Well, I used to think it was Gaelic, but after reading tons of comments in which you correct people for calling it so, I learned the difference ;) I like that you do so, because since there is a very clear distinction between the two, people shouldn't mix them up.

  • Meav's dress is beautiful, but i bet it would be hard to walk around in........

  • WAHNSINN echt super

  • i'm not sure what the girl who plays the violin's name is at the moment, but she always reminds me of some mystical fairy or something that just jumps out and is all graceful and happy and, well you get the picture ^_^

  • @Rcpengy123

Her name is Mairead Nesbitt and I definitely agree! I wonder where she hides her wings?

  • This Voice is not from Earth..definatly..

  • @gaeilge101 DUDE!!!!! no way! gaelic is your native language!?!?! JELOUS!!!!! :)

  • @NirobiQ...NO Gaeilge is my native language, it is the official language of Ireland. Gaelic IS NOT a language, it is a language family, with several languages and dialects....

  • @gaeilge101 Sorry, didn't mean to offend you at all..... I know there are different dialects and stuff, but I love any form of Gaelic.....

  • Ja so sind die Weiber... ;-)

  • What a pretty song! There's almost something oriental about it. Or middle eastern.

  • @JackieMuffins....No the language is Gaeilge. Gaelic isn't a language, Gaelic is a language family with several languages and dialects. Gaeilge is the first official language of Ireland. No one who speaks it would call it Gaelic or even Irish Gaelic. We simply call it Irish....

  • Comment removed

  • what language is that??

  • @mohkat1 gaylic irsh

  • @mohkat1...The language is Gaeilge, which is the first official language of Ireland, it's used daily in our government and court system. It's being taught again in our schools and is a required class. Don't call it Gaelic, Gaelic is NOT a language, it is a language family and is made up of different languages and dialects. You wouldn't hear anybody living in Ireland call this language Gaelic or even Irish Gaelic. We simply refer to it as Irish....

  • It would take many lifetimes for a normal human being to learn this song.

  • @SpeedyBozar

dibynnu ar yr hyn rydych yn ei ddefnyddio i, bachgen

in english, as opposed to Cymraeg... All depends on what you grew up with, lad.

  • @Ironsouled I was talking mainly about the melody... :)

  • @SpeedyBozar Well, I could be after giving you the same answer, however it wouldn't have the same significance as it did the first time around.

More seriously, just listen for where it repeats, learn that part piecemeal, and the rest will come.

  • @Ironsouled boring conversation, let's just listen...

  • I KNOW NOW, SINCE 1sorryham TOLD ME;p

All of you: don't tell me anymore the same;p

    BTW, great song!

  • the last girl on the chorus from 1:05 to like 1:07 notice how she messes up!!

  • @prb0i17 lol I had totally missed that!!!

  • @prb0i17 good eye!

  • But... where's the microphone?!

  • @outslider1, the microphone is a tiny boom head-mounted wireless microphone that is almost completely obscured by her hair (you can occasionally see it on the left side of her face as its tip protrudes occasionally).

  • @1sorryham Thx, it's nice to know!

  • @outslider1 look in her hair on the left side.

  • @outslider1 pause at 1:17 :)

  • i have been trying to learn irish, beautifull language but very tricky in me opinion :)

  • the girl on the very right messed up the words at 1:06 :P

  • @Loracool hahahahaha your right!!!!!! SOMEONE didn't practice!!!!!!XD

  • i can not wait for when i start college in ireland.

  • yay gaelic!

    such a pretty language.

  • @mizunoatsuko91....The language is NOT Gaelic.. In fact there's no such language as Gaelic. Gaelic is a language family which has several languages and dialects. The language of Ireland is Gaeilge, it's our official language

  • @gaeilge101

I was just getting ready to ask someone what this language is but I got my answer!

Any chance you could translate this because it just sounds like a really fun song and would love to know what it says. If someone already has please send me the link.

  • @itonlyhurtstilludie.... I sent you the lyrics in English as a personal message...

  • @gaeilge101

She is your Gran, she is your Gran. I absolutely adore the lyrics... especially as next to no one's after understanding them.

  • @mizunoatsuko91 Is é sin fíor.

  • @mizunoatsuko91 you are right

  • @borden300 thank you =)

  • god the girl playing the violin is super hot!

  • I love the language, do you think one can learn it in ireland?

  • @mimmi2 Yes of course you can. It's compulsory for children to study it until the age of 18 here! Plenty of courses for beginners

  • @mimmi2 its the offical language of the southern republic!! yay

  • now I really want to learn Gaelic

  • @mormongirl97...If you want to learn the language of Ireland then you want to learn Gaeilge....Gaelic isn't even a language, Gaelic is a language family and include several languages...You would never hear anyone from Ireland refer to our language as Gaelic or even as Irish Gaelic. Gaeilge is the official language of Ireland, it is spoken daily in our Government and court systems. It is being taught again in our schools and is a required class...

  • now what is interesting here is the woman who inspired such a song?

  • Mairead is awesome and love the voices of all the women
