Steve Irwin died doing what he loved. It was a horrible accident. All the caring, loving and sharing in the world couldn't have stopped it. That's the thing about nature; it is beautiful and engaging and even mesmerizing, but it is still deadly. I weep for his family and wish them all the best.

I'm just saying, he cared, he loved, he shared, and he still died. And not at the hands of mankind.
