I watched the film recently, and I thought it was extremely interesting...if I had been 16 or so and I was in Sarah's place, I probably would have stayed with Jareth. Now, I'm not so sure...in the end you do have to find your place in reality, you can't run from if forever (though as a child and a young teenager, I was very happy to do just that).

Hmm that depends on how you look at it. If you believe jareth is of the fae then really sarah could be said to be blamed. If you think of it like some people, they believe its jareth's duty to take the unwanted or 'wished' away. The fae have duties and can not take what is not freely offered, although they have rules there are loopholes as well. Him being a villan, thats what sarah paints him as because of her imagination in truth she wished away toby, so jareth could be seen as doing his duty.

It's about a girl who, while watching her baby brother, wishes the goblins would come and take him away. Well the goblins do come take him. Then the goblin king (david bowie) comes and tells the girl she has a certain amount of time to travel through the labyrinth to get to his castle and rescue her brother or he will belong to the goblins forever. An excellent, classic movie if you like fantasy things at all.
